Just lost my Fila to cancer.

Just lost my Fila Brasileiro, aka Brazilian Mastiff to lung cancer. The vet put her to sleep yesterday as she was suffering. Her name was Brandy and she was 11 years, 8 months old. She was a great dog. In fact she was a member of the family. She slept in my bedroom on her dog bed. I will always miss her.

I hate that. We're going through something similar. Our German Shepard has lymphoma cancer. The vet gave her some meds to perc her up for a few days that we can spend with her before we say goodbye. They are definitely family in our eyes.
