Local Competitions

how do i get in touch with someone that knows the local competitions around my area? i hope i dont sound dumb, i never competed, this will be my first show i am planning to do. right now i am dieting from 17% bf, looking to do a show in april if i can be ready enough. im located in southern california. thanks.

ok i think i found one here in anaheim, CA on april 26, but i dont know what kind of bodybuilders compete there. if anyone can go, then i will compete in that one i guess. i will call and ask about everything. thanks bigheinz.

My guess is that is the Orange Co. Its an NPC national qualifier. There will be guys there who already are nat. qualified or are there for that purpose. The next show is the Cal ~ a month or so later - I think its the last one in S. Cal before the USA's.

Totally your call. Frankly, I think the sport of BB'ing is about having no hesitations and being as friggin' balls to the wall extreme with your body as possible, so screw the competition - you're there for the battle. If you'd like a less competitive show, I might try the NPC show in San Diego - I think later in the summer. I don't think its a Nat. Qualifier, but I could be wrong. When I've been, the competition hasn't been anywhere near the OC or the Cal.

hey I got my feet wet with a local show imo it was the way to go. i learned so much about diet posing and everything else. Hey if you wanna drive to n ca there are some fun local shows.

well guys i emailed jon lindsay about the april 26th competition, he told me i should enter the men's novice' and it is npc as well, just fill the form out, send the fee, all 90 days before so i have til feb 2. to decide on that show.
