Loose lid or cap?

So what does it mean if the caps are loose after popping the top. Does this mean it is bad or is it still good to go?

It is gear. Oil!

it means that the crimps weren't sealed properly. This could potentially allow bacteria to enter the vial. I have a few vials that aren't crimped properly. I plan on extracting the oil from them, passing it through a micron filter into another (new) vial and baking that at 200 for a couple hours...

I suppose bacteria could enter but the rubber stopper should prevent that. Also, if there's enough BA in the solution, this would alleviate further worries. I'd be more worried if it were a water based solution. It depends on your comfort level....transfer, filter, and bake would also work like said above.

So I could bake it in the vial that I have now or would I need to chang it all together?

you would transfer to a new vial that is sealed properly and then bake it. Baking in the vial you have now will be a temporary solution, but if it isn't sealed there will be potential for contamination. The potential is probably not very high, but I find cellulitis to be a horrible thing that is easily avoided by some precaution.

Ok so the when I popped the lids on the DVDs just the metal part moves not the rubber seal. Is that ok for that or does none of it need to move?
