Lost motivation for the last 3 months

It happens to the best of us. Honestly, after I get back lifting I realize why I enjoy training. Just make the commitment and get back in there.

Yup in the same boat even with weather getting nicer, sometimes its good just to lay low and enjoy life, especially after dedicating so much of ones time towards something and not competing or having goals, (i never have competed and never will) its nice to re focus goals and really ponder why we are doing something with little to no roi, ive been in this same stuper for a few yrs actually, not going to the gym, and just livin, but im to the point where i NEED to get back to health and body reshaping.... new goals and a new focus, getting old changes ones perspective....just need to all find a new identity,

You are on to something here. Sometimes we go through situations, some good and some bad, and they [experiences] change us. We are still the same person, but our values and priorities change.

I cant get myself into the gym for the reasons I had 10 years ago. But I can with different reasons. But it is less about the reasons and more about the meaning. The meaning provides the reasons.

One of the powerful motivators for competing is accountability. Meaning if you dont look good on stage. The responsibility and fault can only lie on the self. But you can achieve that by another means. For example, a transformation thread. I did this in the past. Went from decent to much better. On alinboard and I had a trainer (he chose a member, happened to be me). A really nice guy called animalmother. He was a hell of coach. He also helped me on how to view the diet and training. Very articulate. It was more than just diet and training.
