My lab animal is getting this surgery done on Monday. Post-op will be using mk-677 along with bpc-157 for a few weeks to assist with the healing process. I recall dat advocating micro-dosing the BPC around the site that requires healing.

Any thoughts around injecting a peptide (reconstituted with BAC water with a sterile needle and using alcohol swabs of course) around the wound? I am concerned with infection, considering that the peptide is "research grade." Not sure if infection risk is any higher than average around the site where the procedure was performed.

I wouldn't worry too much about infection, bpc is generally pretty pure and sterile, just be careful not to inject the operation site directly, 20mcg in multiple injects would be sufficient, you might want to consider ghrp6 also as I find it heals muscle very quickly.

I would think it would be great, but would also like to hear from someone who's used it after an operation.

My wife is scheduled for hernia repair (oh, and a tummy tuck while they're in there anyway :D) next month. She doesn't mind the injections.

I wouldn't even worry about using BPC. I've had that surgery as well as having two hip replacements (and other surgeries). The umbilical hernia surgery wasn't really too bad at all. I only remembering having to take one pain pill the whole time and just used ice. Keep your protein intake up and eat clean and you'll heal quickly. I just had my second hip replacement surgery and was pumping protein and collagen down and healed very fast. The doctor was surprised at how fast I healed.

I had an open (umbilical) repair and 18 mos later it recurred. Then I had a laparoscopic procedure...5.5 years later and going strong. I definitely recommend a laparoscopic procedure if you're gonna keep lifting heavy. Also, the open repair caused a lot of scar tissue even right next to my belly button, and the doc who did the laparoscopic surgery also opened up the first one and removed as much of the mesh and scar tissue as he could. A lot of these lap-band guys are thrilled to work on someone with visible musculature in their abdomen rather than a huge bag of fat mass, so he did all of the additional stuff for free. I was on 4iu HGH daily and also using igf at the time, he was aware, and was amazed at how quickly the scars healed.
