unfortunately i cant get any long acting slin at present, can either get humalog/novorapid or mixtard 30 ( blend of fast and intermediate acting slin).......

would it be better to have humalog 3 times a day with main meals

or

be better to take mixtard 30 at meal one and then a shot of humalog with my first meal an hour after pwo shake?

will be taking GH with breakfast shot 3 times a week and igf pwo 3 times a week.

some advice would be really appreciated
 
Adding igf with slin and gh is a waste IMO. To me it's overkill. Also, why would you want long acting slin? The point is to either have short acting like log or medium like lin-r so that you can have more control over things and not go hypo anytime of the day. The most dangerous thing is to have slin still active in your body and go hypo when your sleeping to wake up and feel like your going to pass out. That being said, my suggestion to you is to use log. This is the only type I use. It gets in quick and leaves quick. If you want to use it multiple times a day like I do, then use it after meals and pwo. You don't need as much log with after meal shots. 3-5ius is fine. That's the way I do it and have had success with it. With pwo, I use 20ius but 10ius is a good dose to start out at.

Long acting insulin is very DANGEROUS!!!!!!!!

what is BEST to use from a bodybuilding point of view is the shortest acting insulin (HUMULOG) so that U can take advantage of it's quick nutrient uptake time it provides while only lasting in ur system for 2-3 hours max!

Simple in and out is what u want! Anything longer acting than that would be unpredictable and potentially life threatening!

Dude, 2 people with experience with slin have given you good advice. Long acting slin is harder to manipulate and control plus the fact that you could go hypo at anytime while it's still in your system. This is why short acting slin is the best way to go. Now I know that pros do lin-r but that is medium acting slin which isn't as dangerous as long acting. Your better off with log but could use lin-r if you absolutely had to.

you think it works like humalog but it doesnt. It keeps steady concentration over prolonged periods of time, and doesnt result in spikes like humalog.
so theres no way that you can get a sudden onset of severe hypo on long acting slin like you would on humalog.
Instead it would set in slowly giving you PLENTY of time to fill up on carbs.

IMO for bulking purposes and especially if used with hgh, long acting slin is WAY superior to humalog, since you get increased nutrient shuttling for most of the day, and you provide yourself with adequate insulin production of which is compromised due to taking gh.

Of course your diet has to be on point, but thats a given really, if youre even considering slin/hgh your diet HAS to be on point and you have to know your body well enough to take advantage of everything slin/hgh has to offer.

This is why I've leaned more towards medium acting humulin-r. I feel as though my diet is on-point enough to consider longer acting insulins, which afterall, are more anabolic than short acting insulin because they are active for longer time periods. I suppose if you wanted to be really careful not to add fat, you could run long acting slin and bump up your carbs through out the day to account for loss of calories from removing fats.


Hell..In fact that sounds like a great idea. No wonder the big guys dose more than once a day.
