Just as a survey, I am curious to see how much money everyone budgets for workout/bodybuilding needs per month. This would be any cost above and beyond what you normally spent before/without bodybuilding
 
I just ran the numbers and I would say I am somewhere around 550-650 a month depending on the time of year. So all total In the past 10 years I have spent about 75,000 dollars on my muscles LOL:eek:
 
cant imagine spending 1500 a month. In this new era of homebrewing pellets (post ORD), most people are spending a substantial amount less....i am anyways
 
If you count consuming twice the amount of food than is normal then it's probably pretty high up there. Not counting that, I spent last month, including gym membership, maybe $150.

This month I spent $2500 on a leg press and weights, so I voted >15oo.
 
i'm so poor i go to KFC to lick OTHER people's fingers - so i would say under 500 for me
 
yeah, if you count food im probably in the 500 to 750 range depending on the month

i totally assumed this question was about monthly "gear" allowances...misunderstood then

with food, gear, and supps....prolly over 500, but not by much

Although I have cut my grocery bill by eating the same nasty cheap plain crap everyday year around: milk, chicken, beef, repeat. :D
 
BB funds don't take into account the daily cost of orange roughy or ny strip.
$500 in supplements isn't alot to spend outside of your diet if you have serious goals.
 
Too may people buying gear from friends of friends of a friend and getting ripped off. I loose a shipment once in a while but some guys are paying upwards of $1000 for 1g/wk for 8 weeks! I tell there getting ripped off...but apparently thier friends would NEVER do that to them.

Including food Id say prolly $500 a month including Test based gear and pct....of course I take 2-3 months off between cycles so those pretty cheap months.
 
But can you really include food? Sure I eat a lot more chicken/fish/beef now but I buy no more candy/beer/pizza/... I find my grocery bill hasn't changed all that much.
 
Thanks everyone for participating. Retriever made a good point, now that most of us are not buying alcohol, which for some of us was a big monthly expense on its own; the dollars spent are just being rerouted to a healthier lifestyle.
 
It would be difficult to figure out where to draw the line, since food, gym membership,etc is considered an essential part of my lifestyle. Good question though, it made me to start counting ;)
 
If I didn't have a few free gym memberships and a hookup at the butchers, and a few pro's hooking me up with the supps from there sponsors my monthly expenses would be over $1,000 per month,but it's around $300 per month. I guess I should start busting my ass a little harder in the gym because after adding everything up I see that I am truley blessed to have what I have.
