MS Outlook 2003 Problems

Ok. I need a little help with something that has driven me crazy. My Outlook downloads the same messeges 2 or 3 times! I do not have "leave a copy on server" checked in the settings. This has happened on my computer and my dad's. I'm pulling mail off of Yahoo and from my ISP. Running Windows XP home edition.
Thanks!

have you first gone to the windows site with the same problem?
is this PC on a domain and do you have admin access to it?

You may have done something to your outlook settings or a piece of software has modified it. To reset Outlook or any other Office product to base settings as it was first installed, run the associated executable with the "/a" switch. To do this open a command prompt and type the following and hit enter after every line:

%systemdrive%
cd\
cd "program files\micrsoft office\office11"
outlook.exe /a

You could also copy the above into notpad, call it whatever you want and change the extension to ".cmd" or ".bat" instead of ".txt" and save it. Then just double click the batch file to run it.

batch files are fun once you learn to use them!!
