Everyone always says multi use vials can grow bacteria. I really dont wanna transfer into small vials.

Is it okay to boil water and sterilize bottle in that? Even with a hormone inside?

I know this...

But when something comes in a 50ml vial, Id rather not transfer from vial into multipal ones. Vet Eq can sometimes come in 50ml vials.

As long as you are wiping the top of the vial off with an alcohol swab before each use, storing them in a clean place, and always using a new needle you are fine. Who says multi use vials can grow bacteria? Maybe ones that were not steralized properly to begin with.

The health industry uses multi use vials every day.

Well, that's not exactly the case. When you are constantly puncturing the same vial over and over again you run the risk of allowing bacteria in there. That's why people recommend not using anything larger than a 20ml vial.

I do agree though, as long as you are swabbing and using different needles you run less of a risk. Although the health industry does that, hospitals are also a very dirty place. Patient rate of infection is actually relatively high.

All in all, try and stay away from larger vials, just so you can minimize the risk. Just be safe and use your head.

To be honest, I wipe it one time when I first take the flip top off and that's it. Been on for years and never a problem. Nothing wrong with being cautious though either.

i do the same with large vials, but i also understand those who want to be extra-cautious.
