Me and B2K arrived Thu to settle in, my old gym friend flying in from Arizona with an adjoining room a bit later. Started seeing
a few muscle heads in the area. Wondering why HBG didnt call me as expected...Got to the expo early Fri-hit the LegalMuscle booth to hang with all the boys early on. Love seeing Rick, Marc,
and MikeD (arrived later). They had a real naughty hottie working the booth dressed up as a cop, with the 'punishing' nightstick and all!
Found out why HBG didnt call-I accidentally (call me DUMBASS) gave her my wifes cell phone Number! Duh! Nice to finally meet Steph at the expo. Saw alot of the pros, even got pics with Ronnie Coleman and Dorian. And of course with the usual slew of beauties! The Muscle Elegance girls were especially sexy, the test is flowing through these babes at all times. We revisited the booth over and over! Most all the guys and gals were friendly, especially PatKs partner Matt Duval was a real cool guy (where were you Pat?). The womens shows were cool-except womens BBing is just never going to prosper if they dont reward a combination of strength and beauty. My favs were Denise Masino (when I spoke to her she agreed with her placing) in the lights; Yaxique (sp) in the heavies. No Valentina Chepiga but she was friendly and smoking hot at the expo. I dont hate anyone but it was nice to see Suzy Curry NOT win for a change-as Jenny Lynn and Monica placed ahead of her. Unfortunately Suzys exit from the fitness did not help Kelly Ryan who placed 2nd again to Adela Friedmansky.
Next day up early and MikeD was alone at the LegalMuscle booth-I spent about 2hrs selling gear and books there-what a blast!
Met up with Pat Arnold and his Ergo group-all of those guys posssess knowledge galore. Then was happy to meet Bill Llewynn
author of the Anabolics 200(X) books-the new 2004 edition is awesome and a must have along with LegalMuscle. Ive invited him here and of course we would love to share wisdoms with him-he was very cool and really enjoyed talking shop! And then we saw the MAN - Arnold was by the Marines booth across LegalMuscle!!! With a security entourage, the crowd was going nuts! Then he went to the booth next to us so we got some really good pics as he was only several feet away and noone was in the way at all! We were psyched!!! All of us were on our cells, minutes later-babbling how we just saw the TERMINATOR close up! I began to think-here we are, hob-knobbing with all the BBing legends, past and present, taking pics with the hottest fitness girls as they rubbed the bodyparts welcomingly all over us (HOT!)-and all this is brushed under the rug in level of imporatance and meaning when we see Arnold, the greatest! Meet DPSQUAT - boy, the man is packing on some mass!!! The difference from last year is amazing! Me and B2k were really impressed! Saw Tbonus
from the UG also, and unfortunately missed some guys like Armegeddon (hear he stopped in LegalMuscle asking for us)-maybe next year! Due to bad planning and my misplaced expectations on help with tickets, we were shut out for tix in the mens show. On to the late night girly bars where the feature girl was fitness model Tayna Taylor. smoking hot! Well Im not used to drinking, and keeping up with a young'un like B2k (this big boy can get wild!!) and our friend from AZ (both in late 20s) was not eazy-big MikeS held his own! Out until 5am, I paid the price-got up too late and tired to go the expo for the final day, on the road for the 7hr drive home to mundane reality. Id have to say, despite the dissapointment of missing the Mens Finals, this time was the funnest yet!
