im back, its sunday
had a good day especially on the conditions, lol
heres the syanpsis
first i got no sleep as i drove thru the nite to get there, arrived at 650 and it started at 715am lol. so i got no food or sleep prior.
it POURED down rain the night b4, and we were on turf so that had some negative effect on me. but without more bitching which ill do when i describe the bench test. here we go
first test for the linemen was the 225 bench for reps
i started out, banged 8 FAST, then out of nowhere the headrest for the bench FELL THE FUCK off, so he stopped me, and said i have 2 players then i resume, which i thought id get credit for the 8 i did, NO, so i start again, hit 33 this time, then he has the nerve to say u didnt lock out 5 of them, so im deducting u, it would have been this years combine record, so i say fuck u gimme my 8 from previous as it wasnt my fault u have shitty equipment, then he has a baltimore ravens scout come "scold" me, till he figures out the situation, by then i was like fuck it, i ended with 28 reps(but i did 41 total) 100% by NFL standards.
next was the vertical jump
which they had us do on CONCRETE, not the track surface, i scored a 10'8 which equates to a 28.5" vertical jump for me.
100% by NFL standards
now onto the height and BDW gradings
height 6'6- 100%
weight 326- 98%( they wanted me at 335)
40 yd dash
now keep in mind i had no turf shoes, and the field was soaking wet, lol
best time with a slip was 5.4 sec(90%)
20yd short shuttle
wet ground and sudden position changes dont do well together, lol
4.9sec (95%)
then we did some quick helmet only one on one drills
i made 2 ot of 3 kids look like toys, one gave me a run, but i still got to the ball, carrying him. lol
i went for D tackle btw, no offence at all
i also got an offer to play semi pro for the PGH colts while i was in the combine, lol no $ tho, just for experience
im officially a pro prospect now, i scored well into where i should have, and this is for FW i was completely clean, lol
after the combine was over, 2 ravens scouts came up to me and were like ure gunna get alot of calls, just watch who u play for, and smiled. then proceeded to ask where i played, i smiled and quietly said i havent been in an organised game since 8th grade, their jaws dropped, then the one sez, this kids a diamond in the ruff mike, then the convo went wild, lol
but id like to thank everyone here who stood by me during this shit, esp FW PB armen RY rockie etc.
plans now include: more technique, pgh colts, and i got selected to go to this years WPC worlds as an alternate so here we go
