Night of Champions memory of Phil

[ESCALADE]

I was talking to a buddy this weekend and he brought this story up that I totally forgot. It was the Night of Champions in 96 or 97, and we had just left the evenihg show. The area outside the theater was packed with people trying to get a glimpse of the pro's as they left the Beacon. I was standing around with my buddys and all of a sudden we see Phil Hernon. He was just jacked, packed with muscle. He was all pro-tanned up and wearing a rag top or something. All of a sudden this homeless lady comes up to him and starts harrassing him, grabbing his arm and making some kind of comment about how sexy he was. Phil was cool about it and just kind of ignored her.

Phil do you remember this??? If so, I was like 6 feet away from you when it was happening, LOL.

When Mike Mattarazo used own part of a Gold's here in Sac ....he used to come into my club quite abit.......and we used to talk alot.....anyway he told me the Phil was the thickest guy he had seen at that point and that he was the one white guy capible of winning the O . And if you know Mike at all, you know he is not one to throw around compliments .....Phil is , was , and always will be one of the best built guys to ever walk this planet.....

it's hard to believe sometimes that on the other side of the computer is phil. also the potential that some of these guys have here is amazing, i really can't wait to see where they'll be in the near future!
