I decided to try this stuff a few months ago. and i like its affects. but joint pain and tendon pain has been getting worse as time goes buy. has any one else had this problem. i,m currently going to drop it out of my supplement regimen to see if its the cause.
 
Tried it before a few years back. I got hives and felt like I was burning up.

90% of Supplements are trash in my opinion.
 
Anyone else out there have any comments on this stuff? I've read some good reviews on it. Supposedly it causes vasodilation and improves bloodflow to skeletal muscle.

Yeah I know most of the time arginine is the principal ingredient in these supps. But does it really increase nitric oxide via oral delivery?

Whatever boost you get from these "nitric oxide" supplements is confounded by the stimulants most of them contain IMO. Arginine has been used in massive quantities periodically since the 80s at least. I can't remember anyone reporting getting jacked by it nor anyone reporting massive skin bursting pumps until it was marketed like this. Placebo effect?
 
Idk if it puts meat on the bones but it gives spectacular pumps, crippling often
 
When no2 made by mri came out i starting using it and loved it. I also tried no explode and black powder those two gave me extreme headaches and caused a sharp pain in the back of my head while working out. Ive heard of guys tearing muscles such as their triceps and not even know it because of the pump. Idont use no anymore because I already get great pumps due to the gear.

I dont think it would cause joint or tendon issues. Are you lifting super heavy?Doing MAX lifts?
 
No2 is great, sick pumps I like it a lot but don't see how it can cause tendon/joint issues?

Any brands that don't have any stims? Also, any side effects? If they do indeed cause vasodilation, I would think there could be some side effects.

Yes there are, but don't know any off the top of my head. You want to increase plasma arginine levels? Use Citrulline instead - more effective. Citrulline Malate is pretty cheap in bulk.

Abstract

AIMS: Oral L-arginine supplementation has been used in several studies to improve endothelium-dependent, nitric oxide (NO)-mediated vasodilation. L-Arginine treatment is hampered by extensive presystemic elimination due to intestinal arginase activity. In contrast, L-citrulline is readily absorbed and at least in part converted to L-arginine. The aim of our study was to assess this metabolic conversion and its subsequent pharmacodynamic effects. METHODS: In a double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled cross-over study, 20 healthy volunteers received six different dosing regimes of placebo, citrulline, and arginine. Pharmacokinetic parameters (C(max), T(max), C(min), AUC) were calculated after 1 week of oral supplementation. The ratio of plasma L-arginine over asymmetric dimethylarginine, an endogenous inhibitor of nitric oxide synthase (arginine/ADMA ratio), urinary cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) and nitrate excretion rates, and flow-mediated vasodilation (FMD) was measured to assess pharmacodynamic effects. RESULTS: L-Citrulline dose-dependently increased AUC and C(max) of plasma L-arginine concentration more effectively than L-arginine (P < 0.01). The highest dose of citrulline (3 g bid) increased the C(min) of plasma L-arginine and improved the L-arginine/ADMA ratio from 186 +/- 8 (baseline) to 278 +/- 14 [P < 0.01, 95% confidence interval (CI) 66, 121]. Moreover, urinary nitrate and cGMP were increased from 92 +/- 10 to 125 +/- 15 micromol mmol(-1) creatinine (P = 0.01, 95% CI 8, 58) and from 38 +/- 3.3 to 50 +/- 6.7 nmol mmol(-1) creatinine (P = 0.04, 95% CI 0.4, 24), respectively. No treatment improved FMD over baseline. However, pooled analysis of all FMD data revealed a correlation between the increase of arginine/ADMA ratio and improvement of FMD. CONCLUSION: Our data show for the first time that oral L-citrulline supplementation raises plasma L-arginine concentration and augments NO-dependent signalling in a dose-dependent manner.

I use No2, Citrulline Malate, Beta-Alanine even GlyoCarn, I am tight/pumped 24/7 it is great...it is not the full workout pump but feel like I am on EQ in regards to have I feel throughout the day but not the weight gain in the gym obviously. If the pump in the gym post workout is a 10 I would say I feel like a 6/7 all the time on this stuff outside of the gym.
