Im on cloud nine right now!!! That was one of the most empowering experiences of my life!!! I am bit by the bug 110%!! Felt so amazing to be up on that stage.
As for my placings I thought the judges were very reasonable and on point. I won the light heavy novice class and took 3rd in the light heavy open. Light Heavy was a tough class and they really worked us up there. More so in the novice callouts than open. Seriously like 80-90% of both open and novice were guys that had been competing for years. To be able to beat out 2-3 year vets in my first show, its amazing. People could not believe how on point my conditioning and posing was. From what i saw and heard, I had prob the best conditioned lower body in that show. My quads were split perfect and vascular. Hammies and Glutes tied in amazing, I cant get over my glutes. And I have to say all the guys that beat me deserved it, more than I did as they had more muscle than me. I was probably the smallest in the light heavies at 180 lbs, but had insane conditioning.
I went into this show wanting a national qualifier but now realize its about Quality not Qualifying, as my physique needs improvements for that national level stage. Kippareno had mentioned this to me before and I now see his perspective 100%. I will have that NQ soon enough and when I step on national stage I will make sure Im ready, and not just do it to say I can step onto a national stage lol Kip ur the man!
I want to thank everyone on here for your support. Especially MikeHeavyPecs, i followed his advice to the T and I have to say it all shows on stage. Posing and stage presence is huge!!!! I was soooo happy to be up there and you can see the grin on my face!!! Hell yehs!!!
