so in class we have been studying enzymes and the how they effect metabolism. I figured since the school book sucked, and i was interested in learning i would go to borders and pick up a few things and read over the vacation. anyways. the 2 books i picked up were everythign you need to knoww about ENZYMES ( a simple guide to using enzymes to treat everything from digestive problems and allergies to migranes and arthritis ) and IRONMANS ULTIMATE GUIDE TO BODYBUILDING NUTRITION

but i have a couple questions for you guys, mainly on the supplementation part of ironmans book. has anyone ever takin Acetyl-L-Carnitine as a supplement mix or Pyruvate as a supplement. If so how did that work out for you. bc the scientific evidence in the book stated that both substances enhance musclebuilding capapbilities.

also i know there are other threads out there. but what would some one use for the ketosis diet, in phase 1, there are 5 days of high fat and high protein then phase 2 of 2 days carb loading then back to phase 1. but what would you eat besides nuts fish peanut butter chicken ribs pork etc. do you add salads? idk some suggestions would be cool

Pyruvate makes a big diffreance on dnp at 6g
the studies were done with 30+g IV as the stomach just can't handle it.
It is the last part of the krebs cycle if memory serves so maybe a good prevention hangover supplement with water as you get a hangover becasue you get dehydrated so fast the krebds cycle does not have enough water to do it's job.

leafy greens are ok on a ketogenic diet, as much as 10 grams carb content per meal roughtly speaking (which is a lot!) or every 3 hours. Not sure I agree with you about the phase one and phase 2 that sounds like some modified ketogenic diet rather than a scientific one.

I understand L'carnitine is better used IM like on synthetine here is what is on their site, but I am sure one of there representatives here can go into more detail as to exactly why.

ALC has been used or researched for Alzheimers disease. ALC is an acetylated form of L-carnitine. ALC has been claimed to be superior to normal L-carnitine in terms of bioavailability. However, at least one study has suggested that the acetylated form may have a lower oral bioavailability.

As of the diet your talking about its almost along the lines of Bodyopus, Dan Duchaines book. But there you went with no carbs for 5 days then carbed up for 2 days.
