Odd doses of MK-677?

Hi guys.

So it seems slightly odd to me that the standard dose of Mk-677 is 25mg. Is there a scientific reason for this that I overlooked?

Most other drugs we take come in standardized increments. Do we know why 25mg was settled upon as a standard dose?

Why not 20mg, or 30mg? What about the effects of other incremental doses?

I understand that many guys take 12.5mg, which is simply 50% of the standard dose of Mk-677.


Many of the tablet forms of MK come in 10mg pills.

In that case, would 20mg, 30mg, or some other dose be ideal for maximum effect? Or would you go ahead and split pills to achieve 25mg?


Bonus Q:
- For high dose Mk-677, is it superior to take it all at once, or spread throughout the day?

MK677 has a 24hr half life so once a day if sufficient, if you want to be anal you can split it up but not needed.

I believe that 25mg/d is the point for most where money/sides-to-benefit ratios start to skew in the unfavorable direction. As we know more is not always better (ex: lets say 25mg/d yields an 100pt IGF increase for an individual. Then you attempt 50mg/d, get unfavorable sides and only gain 15pts in IGF even though you doubled the dosage.)

There is a tap out point for users dependent on their bodies and if their pituitary and liver can release GH and convert it to IGF effectively enough. Some people just don't respond to it as well.

Of course people are different, and dosing needs to be adjusted for the individual. Some can't even handle 12.5mg/d and others can do 25mg/d just fine.
