So after a couple of months of "slacking", I'm getting back into routine again. As most of us know, that first good leg day feels good but we know what follows the next couple of days..... pain. Anyway, what do you guys do (besides pain relievers like ibuprofen, aspirin, etc.) to help with the soreness? Also, how do you manage to get any cardio in and does that seem to help? Any suggestions? Thanks.

IMO ..... I would do some really light cardio post leg workout (maybe 15-20 minutes) in the beginning and the day after (30 minutes max) just to get the blood moving.

As for me I have been doing bike and light cardio 30 minutes 3-4 x per week, to stay off my legs and let them grow while trying to maintain bodyweight and remain moderately lean. I prefer to do cardio on my off days from training.

Just my 2 cents.
 
with ridiculously sore legs at least you know you hit them hard. just takes time for pain to go away - legs are big and take more time to heal up
 
leg day=cheat day sorta. after i do my leg day the past few weeks i eat a shit ton of chicken, and some pasta. no cardio on leg day just stretching on a leg stretcher before bed to loosen me up a bit. as for soreness couple asprin. also a shit ton of water. oh and a lba before bed and as soon as i wake up. dont know if any of that helps but seems to be working for me so far.

I make sure to do my walking @ 12% incline cardio on the treadmill afterwards for 30 minutes then roll on a foam roller for a few minutes on each leg muscle. I've heard that Epsom Salt baths work but i've never tried it.

Feel better but keep pushing!!! :)
