Im a 55 year old male in good health that has been lifting for about 6 years. I recently made the decision to try gear for the first time to gain some moderate size. I used Test E at 250 mg a week and did deca 250 mg also,, it worked pretty good for me, gained 15 lbs and then got off and only lost 6, been off for about 6 months now and considering another round of gear, this time sustanon @ 250 mg a week and duragain @ 300 mg a week, Im now at 205 lbs, 6ft.1in., 18% body fat. Got stronger, and felt great, want more. Diet is pretty good although it could be a bit cleaner. Any comments?
 
wow 55! i was 18, and 15 when i tried my first prohormone when they were legel, good luck

Well, what are your goals with starting gear at 55yrs. old? Add size? Possibly compete? Look better? Feel healthier? In no way I am saying you shouldn't be using aas, I am just curious as to learn more about you in order to make any fair comments. In fact, I think aas may be more beneficial for men over 50 when used at healthier levels. At 18% bf (which isn't bad), I think you could make and see the biggest transformations with just adjusting your diet while continuing to train. You picked a great board to be on and we have plenty of knowledgeable members, including many in their young 50's that will be able to give some advice. If you want any critique of your plans. Then you need to at least layout your cycle for us, how much, how long, goals for it, pct, etc. Maybe your diet, if you want some people to cast opinions on that as well. And even your style of training. You don't have to do any of this, but it helps when asking for comments or suggestions. Also there are many good trainers available here for a fee, that can make your goals that much easier to reach. And don't forget about the hundreds of threads all readily available to you by just using the search engine. Welcome to PM.

Appreciate the response 1Love, I am doing Sustogain @ 125 mg twice a week, and Duragain @ 125 mg once a week, with 12.5 mg daily of Aromasin. I work out 5 days a week, keeping track of my reps and weight and go up each week on reps or weight. Not much cardio at this point but I will pick it up after the cycle. 2500 calories a day trying to stay with around 300 grams of protein a day, and getting some of that with bars and smoothies. Plan on the cycle being 9 weeks with the last two weeks being Sustogain only,, no deca. Thoughts are to use Novladex after cycle for pct. not sure about the length that should be yet. My goal is of course to get bigger and stay as active as long as possible, this is my second cycle and the first was test E and Deca for 7 weeks, and I felt great and saw some good gains in weight and strength. Any critic you guys could offer would be greatly appreciated. Have a good day.

Randall I started cycling right before I turned 50. And for years I struggled with sides while trying to put on size. I had trouble getting to a lean 200lbs. Once I started really focusing on diet, ...well things just really started changing. I really started looking good. Things happen. And I let myself go at 55. But with a good diet I cleaned up nicely. And I expect to look my best ever as I hit 58.

Diet, diet, diet!!! The cycles are just so much more effective when the diet is on point. And especially as you move into our age.
