old school supplement companies

anyone here old enough to remember the company unipro ? I used their bcaa tabs and something they had called carboplex .......i loved that stuff !!!! I mixed it with gatorade and drank it before and during training......this is contrary to current thinking ......no carbs before workout right ???? its basically corn sugar......but better than dextrose somehow they say...??? all I know is that it added reps to every set....in other words when you hit that rep that you think is the last one , I could squeeze out 2 - 4 more .....it was very noticeable......thoughts anyone ? this was like 20 years ago.when I was taking this.....just googled it and its still available !!!!! and found it cheaper than I was getting it for directly from a sales rep at his cost ........wow ! anyone familiar with it ???? the cats name was bob genung he owned a gym called fitness trainers ...... he was a competing bb'er......

Yep. Used it back around '89-'90. Really gave a boost... if you were already lean and operating on low carbs/cals. If eating plenty, it didn't do anything for me. Only Unipro product I ever used.
