do the newer batches have a brown stripe at the tip of the amp? first time ive seen this...

Yes. The new omnas have a brown ring around the tip of the amp. These are the newest amps. Still alot of the old ones without going around as well. As far as I know they are both legit. I don't know of any fakes going around because of the cheap price wouldn't make much sense.
