OUUUCH!! HELP!

Ok, I gave myself an injection in my left cheek wednesday. For the last 2-3 days, it swole up and hurts like a motherf***er. Did I just nail a nerve or something? Seriously man, my left cheek looks like something out of Juvenile's Back That Ass Up video.

Doesnt seem to be hotter than the other cheek, no real discoloration. Maybe a slight fever at night, but I'm getting over a cold. Its just swollen and painful as hell.

What should I cut it with to minimize the pain? I couldn't even work my legs because of it.

WHAT did you inject and maybe most important >> did you do anything different than before . have you used the same before or is it new ?

ibuprofen to get some blood going can help and stretching and massaging the area . hope you'll feel better

Heat and massage

When I had a similar experience I applied low steady heat during the day at work with a pad and massaged whenever possible - the pain, swelling, and heat coming from the area dissipated over the course of a few days. More importantly, use common sense and see a doctor if it consistently worsens.

I had a similar experience when shooting straight test in my quad. My whole run I would cut it with mast, but for some reason I decided not to and my leg was immobile for a week. I was running a fever as well. Either my body doesn't like straight test or I just had a bad shot and got infected. To this day, I don't know.


If you hit a nerve you would know it and your leg would be VERY sore. When injecting you body lets you know, most of the time, when close to a nerve. This is why I shoot quads because its right in front of me where I can see the best. If you shot too close to a nerve and the liquid is putting pressure on the nerve then it would also be VERY sore.

If infected its good to have anti's on hand. BUT always remember that when in doubt, probably best to see a doc. If not then you can get other sources of anti's

They've got it all..ampicillin, amoxicillin, cephalexin (keflex..this one is my choice).

If you go with the keflex get the 500mg caps, and do 2 caps twice per day for a week. That should knock it out. Cellulitus kills................

just keep your eye on it and make sure the swelling is going down.. my bro got a nasty infection from some mexican sus.. it swelled up to the point of ridiculousness!! I couldnt believe the size of it!! he ended up having to go the hospital to have his ass cheek lanced so it would drain.. holy fn disgusting batman..!! I had to help him out by changing the draining wick once.. Im forever scarred and Im haunted with the imagery with every glute shot..

Alright, so the pain has lessened, as has the swelling. Still hurts like a Sob though, but I can walk better haha. The shot was 1ml Sus250, used a 23ga new syringe. I used the same source of Sus in my next shot with a 22ga needle and very little pain at all. When I was injecting it was hurting, so I think I got pretty close to a nerve So should I take this as if it ever hurts when you start to inject, remove syringe, transfer contents to a new one, and pick a new site?

Oh BTW the story about the dudes ass getting lanced: Yeck haha I was eating and almost lost my appetite lol. ALMOST!

More than likely you pierced a large vein while inserting the needle! The nerves in that region of the body tend to lay very deep and if you're injecting it in the proper quadrant, you should never even come close to any nerves or nerve endings.

Striking a nerve is like NOTHING you've ever experienced. I hit a nerve in my deltoid with a 1" pin and the muscle contracted SO violently that the entire needle shot out of my shoulder, out of my hand and half way across my bathroom! No joke.

It felt as if I'd been hit with a 40,000 volt shot of electricity. The pain quickly dissipated over the next 24 hrs.

It doesn't sound like it was due to the prop in the Sust 250 since you stated you've taken that before with no problems.

I don't know why but this happens to me quite often. I've had it happen in both glutes, both shoulders and biceps but never in my thighs.

BTW: 22 Guage is fine for any bodypart!

I dont know there big guy...

IMO 23 ga 1.5 for glutes, everywhere else 1.25 25 ga.

22 ga = scar tissue build up.

you can cut it with EQ or grapeseed oil. EQ took the pain completly away when my buddy started useing it with the prop.
