Peptides - All out of China?

Probably a loaded subject but what the heck ….

Is it true that ALL peptides are manufactured in and come from China?

Are these claims by a select group of research peptide companies stating “Made in the USA” …. all totally bogus?

To be clear, I am not referring to legit FDA approved compounding pharmacies that charge an arm and a leg (perhaps for justified reasons but that’s a convo for another day).

China wins on having the cheapest prices. A lot of these “made in the xxxx” companies are just buying large volumes from china, then flipping it for a ridiculous margin.


The amount of equipment needed to manufacture and create these peptides is quite large, and the equipment is heavily regulated. Trying to do it in the states, although possible, isn’t very likely, and the paper trail would be large enough that you wouldn’t get very far, even if you’re highly creative

Kind of like the HPLC testing facilities. We’d see more of these if the risks weren’t astronomically high and the equipment wasn’t regulated.

If so that would be an FTC and FDA violation, not that anyone cares. But if it’s manufactured in China and “labeled” in the U.S. that could translate in marketing to “Made in the USA”.

Truth is, nobody is going to chase it down likely. I’ve learned there is a LOT of crap peptides in the U.S. I only buy from a suppliers with a third party verification for “each batch”. It’s worth every penny.

Shit I got charged with "manufacture of AAS" for putting labels on. So in the eyes of LEO, yes, labeling is "made in USA". What`s the difference. China can make good stuff, your iphone, TP GH. Like any country, they can make a bunch of crap too. The answer, nobody is making peptides in USA and selling for "research" or selling to general public without an RX

It's not only about black market products, the biggest pharmaceutical companies use Chines API's

Those manufacturers have to bring they standards into compliance with cGMP/GMP which are the same around the globe.

GMP is not just about cleanliness classes, air exchanges etc. It also includes validation of entire production processes, their repeatability, parameter control etc. Additionally, FDA/EMA conduct inspections and such cGMP status can be quickly lost (no cGMP/GMP = no sales).

90% of active substances in medications that you buy in pharmacies come either from China or India and it doesn't mean anything wrong..

I'm in biotech business and i'm close to this market

Exactly. I don't know of a single company that actually has their peptides synthesized in the U.S. I know a few who bottle their peptides here, but they are in the very small minority. They buy the pre-synthesized peptides in raw powder form from China...and then bottle them here, but the only reason they do this is because they have access to the equipment needed to lyophilize them. This only saves them a small amount of money...because there isn't a giant difference in profit between buying them pre-bottled and in raw form, at least not when comparing them to the cost customers pay.

Everyone else buys all their peptides pre-bottled from China. When you see a company say "Made in the U.S.", this means "we buy pre-bottled peptides from China, and then label them here". It's deceptive. It would be more accurate to say "assembled in the U.S.", but even then it is misleading...because putting a label on doesn't necessary qualify as "assembly".

Aside from that, China has become the most skilled at making peptides. China is no longer some 3rd world country with poor technology. Rather, the manufacturers over there possess the most advanced equipment and qualified staff. China not only makes all the peptides, but they make most of the world's drugs, period. 80%+ of all the script drugs sold at U.S. pharmacies are made by China.
