i ask because im trying to stay as lean as possible while bulking. i do pm cardio and aftwards have a meal with carbs and protein at 4pm. my question is would it be best to have my following meal with carbs or would protein and veggies be fine at 6pm. my last meal is at 8:30pm and then in bed at 9:30

I would have some carbs if you are bulking. Maybe just 30g if you are worried about it.
 
But, it really depends on your approach for your bulk. What macros are you shooting for?
 
If your trying to "bulk" I'd def eat 50 plus complex carb post workout.
 
For bulking or losing we need to eat something energetic after workout. I think fruits are good food to eat after workout. We can also drink fruit juice because fruit juice provides energy to the body and good source of vitamins.
 
im doing about 40/40/20 pro/carb/fat but im not talking about post work out meal. im talking about the meal after that.
