Protein Synthesis question

From what I've read, there are some claims that protein synthesis is increased by 50 times while on gear! So, it is clearly obvious that one would need to consume protein in large quantities all day to maximize growth. Does this mean that one should also wake every couple of hours to ingest more?

I can hardly believe that 30-50 grams of casein would do the trick..

I am not sure about the 50x's but yes protein synthesis and nitrogen balance are greatly enhanced while"ON". So to get the most bang for your buck IMO somewhere around 2-2.5gms per lb of Bodyweight seems to be a good place to start. Everyone is different and there is no one formula for growth and protein consumption that will work ideally for all. Just adjust your protein from week to week until you find a nice upward growth curve. I am wondering why this is in the womens forum though? But protein for females is pretty much the same as for men. You simply calculate based on bodyweight. Just remember, excess calories from whatever food source will bring on unwanted bodyfat.

The term protein synthesis refers to the process of making proteins, which involves transcription of DNA and translation of RNA.

In that case, it does not necessarily mean you will need to bump your protein by a huge ammount.
