well as some know this past year my better half had fell and broke no shatterd her legg. well she felt a pop last month in her shoulder going down the stairs and guess what ? tore rotory cuff. well she was doing good and still is with her legg. good enough to drive but after this past tuesday its wait again. the dr operated on her shoulder and said her muscle was tore completely off. the operation went well except for putting in the i.v.
her veins are so small they had to put it in above her chest. the needle hit her chest bone . she was sore from that too. she is home now and doing better. starts pt next week along with her legg pt. she is now the bionic woman. she is stronger than me. i would have cried like a baby and hollerd for my mommy. i am such a baby..hahhahha

Sorry to hear that man. So the tendons completely tore away from the bone. Thats a painful injury, especially in the days to follow. You sound like a good guy giving her the support she really needs now and obviously show alot of concern. Good luck and God bless.

thaks guys. she is the one that s strong. shit i would be crying my eyes out if it was me. i am there for her as she has been there for me.

I'm not trying to sound depressing here, but it sounds like she has a problem bro.

Breaking a leg from a fall can happen to elderly (and does quite a bit) but it's due to weak bones - lack of calcium, etc - not to young ladies. I too tore off a rotator cuff muscle (don't know if you remember seeing the scar) but I was on my 10th rep at 275 on the bench press, not going down stairs.

Sounds like her diet or moreso "supplementation" is lacking. I'm far from the expert on this, but I take a BOATLOAD of Supplements (not talking AAS either).

Hope she gets well soon. It can be a LOOONG recovery (it was for me) - so just help her keep the faith!

she does have a touch of osteoperosis ? she fell running down the steps thinking there was some thing burning on the stove. she lose her footing and fell forward slinging her foot into the railing witch got caught in between the rails and snap her legg. the cuff was do to her trying to go down the front stairs outside and leaning too much onto her right shoulder. she is taking a calcium supplement now. thanks
