I was told by a former bodybuilder that he and many others used saline solution(the kind used in hospitals) to pump up their muscles, is there any truth to this?
I always thought some of the size these guys put on never looked realistic in certain areas anyway, such as the deltoids, on some bodybuilders yes but others no, dorian yates looked dense, where as flex wheeler looked blown up. I guess you gotta do what ya gotta do to make up for poor genetics. Im happy im not a professional bodybuilder.
I'm pretty sure there was a misunderstanding or misrepresentation about this. Injecting IV solution into the muscle would be a complete waste of time. One would need to inject the muscles immediately before going on stage to have any kind of benefit. IV fluids would dissapate within minutes.
About the only thing I can REMOTELY guess at is that they were looking to stretch the fascia by overloading the muscle with fluid. However, I doubt that it would be anywhere near as effective as Syntherol...

bro look at syntherol thats the only sane thing that people would use to blow up a local muscle. saline would just be absorbed by that muscle just over an hour after shooting it
