Secure email address?

Is it a good idea to have one? Are they really secure?

Yes, they are good, but the secure email is only as good as the maintenance and upkeep by the provider.

Guess it depends on what you mean by secure. Encryption keys loaded on both ends, private servers, inaccessible by certain parties, non-hackable... and the list goes on.

I have no idea what to get/look for in a secure email address. I will do some research but does anyone have any suggestions?

Not sure how secure it really is, but several people seem to be using safe-mail.net
