Selling my house in Santa Domingo.

Hey everyone, I am trying to sell my summer home in Santa Domingo, I do not want to use a Agent or Realtor, I will have a lawyer for the transactions, Is there any one here that knows a good way to sell this house? websites, newspapers, etc .

Realtors are worth the expense if time is an issue, IMO. I have seen numerous properties sit for close to a year, then get listed and boom closed in two weeks. Otherwise, start off with a sign only at first, a lot of the time somebody local may sell it for you. Newspaper adds and other advertisements are steadily rising in costs and fluctuate according to your region. If you don't get a hot lead in the first month I would bite the bullet and list it, if it is valuable you may be able to list it for below 6%, but you get what you pay for.

well, i am a Realtor, and i understand you not wanting to use one, but like the fella said above, ForSaleByOwner is really not the best way to sell a house.

ask yourself these questions:
are you able to close someone on a sale?
do you know what are good contract terms?
are you familiar with your house, and its condition, and willing to disclose the info on it?
do you have an idea of what you want to price it at? and why and HOW did you come to that figure?
how long are you expecting it to take to sell?
why are you selling?

as a Realtor, we know how to use the right media, at the right time...

things i will share with you

most homes DO NOT sell on an Open House. 10% of the time this happens
if you dont sell it in a month, list it with a Realtor.
remember, commision is negotiable. dont settle for what the Realtor mentions.
interview a few Realtors to see who will do the best job for you. you do not want a Realtor that has a LOT of inventory (listings). it will be harder to focus on selling your home, with the other ones that Realtor has listed, find out what ways they advertise. find out how many of their deals they close both sides on, and ask if they will lower their commision if they get both sides.

If you would have it in Aust, you would sell it straight away for WAY over what you are wanting for it.
It's a 100% clearance rate here in most suburbs. Properties that were worth $700k in April/May are worth $1.3-$1.4mil now, only 3 months later. It's crazy here. And the agents are FULL of listings. There's just so much $ here since the US$ has gone down the crapper.
