does anyone know of any good sinus medicine??? and please don't say any OTC shit...

my sinus are so fucked up-everytime I lay down my ears feel stopped up and when I sit up they pop...

my hearing has gone down, been to 3 minute clinic doctors, those lazy assholes won't prescribe shit to me-more concerned about a hang nail or something stupid like that

it affects my training because I CAN'T BREATH!!! I'm not getting enough oxygen in my system

bet if I was a white trash meth head or some ghetto trash on welfare the damn doctors would prescribe me every sinus medicine you could think of

they keep saying I can't prescibe you shit but you need to go to a regular doctor and he needs to send you to a specialist and "oh you don't have insurance? well it's gonna be expensive for someone to write their name on a piece of paper so you can get medicine so you can get oxygen in your system..."

that's the what you get for paying your taxes, now if you never worked you get rewarded by free medical insurance:headbang:

#1 what is causing the stuffy nose , part of the problem with modern medicine is that Drs treat the symtom rather than the cause. Their is no sense in trying to in stop your nose if you don't know the cause

#2 regular Sudaphed works as well as any prescribed med and I've tried them all.

I suffered with major sinus issues for years and for about 7'years i relyed on Afrin to breath.

I'm at my wits end here, the best stuff that I've found was Tavist-D...

I don't care how screwed up my sinus were, one of those little bad boys and I was good to go for 24 hrs...they quit making it because it worked

the stuff on the market now is about as effective as a tic tac

Get alegra over the counter then get the generic of flownase from a dr. It is a nasal spray that keeps your nasal passages open and reduces swelling from allergies. Works great for my allergies.

I'm not sure what the cause of your problem is but anytime I have sinus issues I use the script drug FLONASE. 2 sprays up each nostril and I'm great again.

Zicam Intense. ....has been the only thing that has cleared up My severely congested sinuses.
Oregano oil in pill form works very well on sinusitis, larger doses will raise your BP.

Avoid using Flonase as this is an adrenal suppressant, short term OK, be very cautious if you choose to use this and combine any Stims.

I've used several prescriptions without success even sinus surgery, to remove cysts and polyps.

If the money allows have a food allergy test, you may be surprised. If at all.

Saline sinus rinses are the best. I actually have a machine that is similar to a water-pick that shoots water up the nose and cleans it out real good. However, if you have an infection then you will need an antibiotic or your sinuses will keep reclogging. You can buy amoxicillin or keflex by thomas labs from many vet places(for fish) without a prescription if you are having trouble getting a doc to write one. I wouldn't advise taking them though unless you are pretty sure it an infection and not allergies or a virus.

it's not an infection, already took antibiotics for this-NOTHING

the saline sinus rinses gave me swimmers ear in my left ear-still dealing with some crackling and popping in my left ear

Afrin is a very temporary fix for me

my biggest bitch is this shit fucking up my ears-sick of laying down and can't hear anything but cracking and popping

BUMP....AFRIN.....I suffer from major sinus issues as well it does suck my doctor wants to do surgery but its 50/50 may fix it may not....for now Afrin works wonders good luck bro!

Afrin works awsome but it is highly adictive over time you will use it more and more and to the point that you cant breath without it , went dont that road for years.

Correct, highly addictive and has rebound effect when you stop.

dorian: please elaborate on the details. Do you have a lot of mucous drainage? What color? Sneezing? Both ears equally effected? How long has it been going on? Etc...

not much drainage except during the spring, sneezing YES when pollen is high, both ears effected mostly my left ear, been going on for several months now

Its probably not what you want to hear but you probably need to see a good ENT who can find out the cause of what is going on. Its sounds like your eustachion tube(s) are blocked, therefore resulting in fluid building up in the inner ear. The key is going to be finding out what is causing the blockage; it could be inflammation or it could be structural. A CT scan could either refute or confirm whether it is structural or not and give you a good starting point. If it is just inflammation and not structural then prednisone can give you great relief but is extremely harsh.

All the stuff listed above works to some extent..but what I think you should do is concentrate on what is causing the problem. 3 years ago i had all the same issues, i ended up getting a sinus infection from the blockage, resulting in SEVEN sinus polups forming in both of my sinus cavities..I could not breath through my nose AT ALL after that! Just somthing to check into..good luck

first try a netti pot(nasal rinse). if that dont help u can try nasonex. it blows flonase out of the water. if u have polups then u need to get prednisone. prednisone is a wonder drug for inflamation but has a ton of sides. if u take the time u can get the dosage right to get good effects without the sides being that bad. sorry for my spelling...its 3 am!
