Slin...PREWORKOUT who has done it?

Ok guys..i know this is a big NO NO for most of you, but i would like to have some info from guys who have tried it PREWORKOUT before.

Just to let you know i have done slin before many times PWO at 2,5,10 and up to 20ui's and understand how important nutrtion is regarding simple carb intake and not consuming fat during this time period.The thing is though i did not get the results i was looking for(diet was top notch and using AAS) and now i want to try something different hoping i will make better gains this time.I will be carrying at all times sugar pills just in case.

This is what i was thinking on doing and will be using the 10 grams of carbs per 1ui rule:

Have at least one solid meal before training with a minimum of 100 grams of complexe carbs and protein in it .Then depending on how many meals i have,the one i eat before my workout will be 2 hours prior to my training.Then 10- 15 mins before my workout i will inject (IM) 10ui's of slin HUMALOG and drink down 25 grams of carbs immediatly and then train 10- 15 mins later and sip during at 60 min training time frame 75 carbs(dextrose and maltodextrin) and 50 grams of protein.Does this sound ok???????

Now when i get home after my training im not too sure what to do.All i know is that my SECOND spike that humalog has to offer will be at its peak and i was wondering if a hi GI meal like pasta and lean chicken would be a better choice than drinking another PWO shake.Remember that im trying to keep fat gains completlety out and i was just wondering what would be best here.I dont think i would be in a catabolic state considering all the carbs i was consuming during my workout....

So please no flaming me and would love to hear from expierienced users.Thanks!

whenever i try something i knew i ask myself that, if it makes sense i will do it, if not then i wont...

i know of people who have done this but none of them really knew what they were doing, and imo not intelligent enough to use this type of protocal....

would i do it? no
is it benificial? maybe (imo the bad far outweight the good)

Bro.. i did ask myself that and my answer yes..it is worth it.Like i said in my post, i have "been there" so to speak.Ive done slin before and my body can tolerate pretty good the sides.So,in a nutshell,the good out weighs the bad for me on this one

But i do appreciate your concern and now im bumping this thread to get some more info from some expierienced users..

I think it definitely has its place and I know of more than a few who will hit some pre-workout and then their PWO slin, and others who just have it pre-workout (and of course plenty just post). However, be careful of administering twice as you could get a cumulative effect and crash quite quickly, which isn't the end of the world if you know what you are doing and you seem to.

Personally I've only used pre-workout occassionally and since I often workout at different times of the day it's not something I've bothered to get into a routine with. But I think it potentially has as many benefits as slin PWO. IronMike

In this case, and I'm not flaming you, don't use slin at all :cool:

The thing is without a glucometer (and even with one) it's really hard to define precisely how many IU you need to inject... in most cases the fear of going hypo will lead you to eat a lot of carbs, especially if slin is shot before working out.
And if you follow the common rule of 1 IU/10 g, it will quickly result in noticeable fat gains (among others nasty side effects) :rolleyes:

IMO slin is great when used occasionally (during a carb-up for example) but not on a regular basis.

Gaining weight is thing, growing muscles is another :)

i am wondering why you want to do this? how do you feel it will benefit you MORE by doing it Pre as opposed to just post? i think you will be ok if you sip on a carb drink during your w/out, but im just trying to figure out why you want to do it pre. i have done it b4 and noticed NO difference. i prefer to just stick to post workout. my personal preference is doing slin post workout with a vitargo/protein shake immediately after.

YES BRO IVE TRIED IT !! AND LIKE THE PUMPS I GET FOR THE WORKOUT.
MY ADVICE IS TO USE A LOWER DOSE 4-5 IU AND SIP ON A CARB DRINK DURING WORKOUT,BUT THIS IS FOR EXPERIENCE USERS ONLY!!

if you are using it to get a better pump for your workout you need to be checked for a mental disability... there are plenty of other non lethal ways to get a pump besides injecting slin befor you train...

i really am having a hard time understanding some of the things you guys are doing?

the reason i ask if you understnad how slin works is because if you did have an intimate knowledge of it, injecting pre workout would not be a consideration...

thats all i have, take care....

First and foremost I would like to point out that i have already tried Slin PWO and i did not get the results expected.I tried different protocols and nothing worked for me.My diet was top notch with the right amount of calories and protein during the day while using AAS.I can assure you i know my body pretty well and can feel the signs of going hypo

What advantages are there?There are several.You are in a constant state of Anabolism and you are feeding FUEL to your muscles very quickly thus giving you more power to push harder and longer.Now before you tell me to just drink a shake during my workout to get the same benefits,i could tell you to do the same PWO and not use Insulin.If Insulin is used its because it has many positive effects on transporting Glycogen quickly to the muscle.And Ill be honest with you guys,i tried it today and i can assure you there I had more in the "bank" so to speak while having these awesome pumps.

This is why im going ahead with preworkout..to give it a try.And logically and hearing from other who had succes,it is a good reason to try it especially since i have prior expeirince using it.So if anyone else cares to chime in and state their expierinces,it would be appreciated.

when i use it, i use it both pre and post workout.

alot of guys take 'x' amount first thing in the am, and then train several hours later, and take it again post workout.

so, that being said, why is it so bad to take it pre workout, in so long as your macronutrients are in place to support its use?

insulin is a storage hormone. it is responsible for shuttling protiens and carbs to the muscle cell. then, what better environment to grow than to have all these nutrients being shuttled to the muscle as you tear it down during your workout.

i am not a biological chemist so i will not debate my stance on this. my experience is purely empirical and not found in science texts.

i have used this protocol for some time now and i can say that if you are indeed comfortable with insulin use to try it and come to your own conclusions.

i myself will continue to use it in this fashion (5 i.u pre/ 7 i.u post) in combination with a high /low gi. carb/ proetin meal and 1 1/2 scoop of super pump 250 before i train.
