I have been given a real challenge here so I will ask for some advice from some of our resident pro trainers please.
A guy came to my gym asking for some weight loss help. he needs to drop roughly 10kg's or 22lbs in two weeks. I have my own strategy but would love some input please. He will be drug tested for employment. He's not a seasoned trainer, which might work in his favor. Any ideas would be appreciated. He is about 5' 9-10" and currently about 100kg's or 220lbs. Not obese but yes carrying a good amount of fat. I've got some reasonable thermogenics for him to use and will tune up his diet. I do not want him to get sick. I have never been an advocate of rapid weight loss but I love a good challenge.

Body Opus, thermogenics, dnp, and diuretics. If it doesn't kill him he will make the weight.

LOL what about the drug test. I personally have not used diuertics or dnp, so i do not know too much about them. I have never really had the need for myself but your advice is well appreciated.
 
Have him only eat tuna and drink only water, and do some cardio. He will lose the weight.

Thank you for that. yea I told him to love tuna. He's goona be shittin scales when I'm through with him and he'll be able to breath underwater!
 
I'm not a pro trainer, but what gavin said is on track

dnp will work wonders for him if he has to lose the weight quick, diretics will take care of the rest of the water...

diet would be white fish and lots of vitamins

3 hrs cardio a day

it is very unlikely a drug test for employment wil screen for any aas, diretics, or any of the other goodies we use...

what does he need to drop the weight for?

Thank you for that. He needs to drop the weight for gainoing employment on the offshore oil rigs. He is a directional driller. These guys are in high demand on rigs as their drilling skills are second to none.

Unless he's getting tested for TNT I think he'll pass if he takes DNP
 
Fighters have been known to drop that kind of weight in a couple of days. No doubt it can be done in two weeks.

BigboyJ, thanks for that, i was thinking the same thing. Fighters shift a lot of weight very quickly. I have trained a couple of fighters over the years so I'll prolly throw some fight training into the mix. Thank you.
 
Much Thanks to those that replied to this. I wasn't asking for a full program from anyone and Like myself I know many trainers like to get paid for their services. All I wanted was a few ideas from different trainers. I must admit I was a little disappointed with the response to this. But what the hell. I have started this guy on his training and will let you guys know how it all finishes. You guys that took time out to give me a few of your ideas I can't say thank you enough!! If ever I can help with anything please do not hesitate to ask. FYI I have trained fighters, athletes and BBers as well as myself. I have trained disabled athletes as well. I was presented this challenge and took it on to really help this guy. He has had his problems and came to me for help. Yes he is paying me for this but no where near what he should be. I am helping him cause I care. For me it is not always about money, it's about success. He touched my heart and I want him to succeed in turning his life around and secure his future with the dream job he's been chasing. Now is his only chance and I will not see him fail, It will mean I have failed. This is not a word I am used to dealing with. Thank you again to the good people of Promuscle community, this is such a good place to be!!!

but as Gavin said , chances are ur buddy will lose that weight and maybe life or a trip to the ER

Yea this was my thinking as well, Gavin was correct but I really don't think this guy would have survived 2 weeks in an oven. he is not a seasoned trainee either. Thank you mike. We live in a virtual sauna at the moment and all his cardio bar 1 hour is out side. I'll give him credit so far though. he has been spewing his guts up at every session. but comes back for more. If he lands this job it could mean 200,000+ per year to him. Money is a great motivator:D . Thank you for your reply.
 
I was a collegiate wrestler and suffered while dropping 20+ lbs. on a regular basis. I lived in the midwest. The weather was obviously very cold through the wrestling season considering it is in the winter months. I got my technique down to drop 20 in about 2.5 days. Start by throwing on a rubber sauna suit with a couple layer over top of that, keeping head and hands covered. If you live in a colder climate, start by going for a run in the cold as he starts to get a good sweat flowing in the cold weather go indoors while keeping that heart rate elevated and hop onto a piece of cardio equipment. As the body became used to the cold and you put it into a warmer enviroment the water will run out. After an hour on the cardio indoors, move into a sauna and sit for another 30 min. This one session alone should strip about 8 lbs. give or take. It's just water but a quick fix. Just don't let him drink any fluids(suck on ice chips). Two to four sessions should drop 20lbs. depending on his cardio conditioning. I would drop 20 with this method and I was a 134lbs. and about 4-6%b.f. Now my cardio was out of this world which allowed me to handle it but it also made it much harder cause it took more to get the sweat to move. Is this safe? Well, any method of dropping 20 in such ashort period of time is not exactly healthy. Good luck! Hpe this helps
 
Great idea. I'll use this as my ace in the hole as we get closer to the day. I'll knock as much off of him until then. I'm hoping we only come up a few kg's short of total weight to be lost. Then dropping a few extra from water should'nt kill the poor guy. Thank you for your advice. I'll let everyone know how it goes!
