more than ten years ago I had a sterile abcess in my right delt that went away probably within a month's time. This may be a dumb question, but can I ever inject there agaim? I have never injected that delt ever again after that incident.
Shouldn't be any different that anywhere else on your body. My question would be, why did you inject there? If you were looking for site growth then you are wasting your time. It will cause the area to swell and look bigger but that goes away of course. Unless you are doing several grams a week of gear you shouldn't have to mess with delts.
Inject in the glutes and legs. That will give you plenty of room to spread out the damage.
I had an abcess cut out of my quad around 20 years ago. They left it open to heal naturally so I have a pussy shaped scar there (LOL) I use to do quad injects all the time, I do it in that leg sometimes but not as often, obviously not in that exact spot where the scaring is.

Yeah, not a good idea to inject somewhere there is a lot of scar tissue because the injection wont be absorbed as well as it should and could form another sterile abscess.
