Supplements and PO boxes

I hope everyones doing ok tonight.

I was wondering why some supplement companies refuse to send their supplements (creatine, protein, etc.) to a po box. I have always heard that its more dangerous...or risky. I haven't the slightest idea how. Anyone have any insight. Is it more expensive or a pain in the butt or what? just curious about this. The place I am at now, all the mail is re-routed to a po. So even when I place my order, if I put the physical address, it will still go to the po box. Do you guys think this matters? I have never had to deal with this before since I have always taken advantage of a physical address.

A 5LB tub of protein wouldnt even fit in a po box, however if you get a pmb they can hold larger packages for you.

good call. What about a smaller supplement? What I would really like to know is why some suppliers simply refuse to ship to a PO box. What about questionable mail, that might rub the law the wrong way...like bootleg DVD's or aas or what (i think im allowed to ask that) This is hypothetical. Curiosity.

Depends on the supplier's preferred (usually the cheapest) shipping carrier. Some do not like to use USPS for anything for any number of reasons, and they are the only ones to ship to PO boxes. UPS will not deliver to PO boxes, neither will FED EX. If you have a choice of shipping carriers, you should get 2fields in which to enter a mailing address vs a shipping address.
In my little community, no on gets mail at home. We all have PO boxes, so it's importnt to know the shipping carrier and which address to give as the shipping adress.
