Now that Im on the other side of the fence and on my little HRT dose and growing steady year round, Im starting to get annoyed but what Im seeing in the gym lately.
Guys that I rarely see in the gym the rest of year, are showing up, 20-30-40 lbs heavier. They come to the gym in groups before they go to the beach that day or the clubs that night. All swollen up, big juice faces, its hilarious.
Now I never fell into that category. I trained year round, I cycled when I had to (the last 2 years before surgery I rarely cycled I always ON) but I walked the walk. I was in the gym, lifting as heavy as possible year round, and thats that.
These guys who could not bench their ass for reps a few months ago are now repping 315(with their friends hands on the bar the whole time) and think they actually accomplished something. Well they did, they have become the stereotype.
Im not sure what I am supposed to think. I am happy with where I am at right now in size and strength. I outlift most of these guys now and when they come off in September. They dont know what a squat or a deadlift looks like anyway.
So I dont know what my rant really means. I guess when you work your ass off like I did since my surgery and earned every ounce of the 80lbs I gained back on, it rubs you alittle to see these beach meatheads now only to have them disappear when September rolls around and your still in the squat rack doing things they couldnt do anyway. It sure is ironic being on the other side, the natural/hrt side lol....
