I TOTALLY AGREE.

I WAS EXCITED TO WATCH THE RESULTS OF THE CONTEST BACK THEN....A BUNCH OF INCREDIBLE BODYBUILDERS.

HOPE YOU ARE DOING WELL IN YOUR PREP.....:D

Look at levrone, he took shredded to a whole new level. his skin is literally paper thin especially over his abs.

awesome

What an awesome pic. Dry and shredded from head to toe.

I see Levrone, Demayo, Ray, Coleman, Francois, Wheeler, Yates, and Nasser

... AND VASCULAR TOO!!!

Look at the size of the veins/arteries in his calves & hamstrings... damn damn damn

Yates was amazing

and of course the 1st of the "freaky sized" to come.

I still am a fan of the old school too.....

My opinion, Dorian Yates took muscularity to another level.

I seen Levrone this past weekend ...he was out clubbing with his friends after the Expo that was in town. No one knew who he was!! I seen him come in the club and I said to pretty much everyone ..WTF!!! Do you all know who that IS!! I went up to him and had a nice conversation with him. He seemed like a real nice guy....drunk at the time...but a nice guy! lol

You like that era because most of thoe guys were short.:D JK!

The Yates era was a great time in bodybuilding. I remember seeing him guest pose in Orlando, FL in I think 1997. I got the obligatory picture signed and shook his hand. The one thing that I still remember today was actually how big he was in person. At the time I was 6' and about 160 lbs and just joined a gym. I remember shaking his hand and looking at his forearm, it was bigger than my bicep and vascular as hell, and his leg looked like my waist. :D So I credit Dorian as my inspiration to hit the gym hard.

I say bring back that era: Yates, Nasser, Ray, Levrone, Wheeler, etc

Best time ever for bodybuilding. Levrone was always my favorite, I wish he would've won the O.....

I liked that era the most because of the charisma most of those pro's had. Very awesome folks to talk to, meet, get photos and most of all watch train.

Pros of this era seem to be a bit robotic in personality (except Ronnie, but he fits in that era with Yates )

I just put in Dorian's Blood and guts video, before I go to the gym today.

See, that's just beautiful to watch. Each body looked different, if you saw just a bodypart of one of them, you would instantly know who's it was.

From left to right:

Shawn Ray, Pavol Jablonicki, Kevin Levrone, Mike Francois, Dorian Yates, Paul DeMayo (RIP), Sonny Schmidt (RIP) Nasser El Sonbaty, Ronnie COleman, Flex Wheeler

that was definitely the era that hooked me. :)
