Torn meniscus

Hey bros wondering if any of you guys can help me out... unfortunately I tore my mcl and maniscus....have any of you here had experience with this type of injury....? Your input would be appreciated...also how long it took for you to rehab it ...stuff like that thanks bros....

I had a scope on my medial meniscus. I was under a local so was able to watch as they snipped and smoothed it out. Generally, it takes about 6 wks to get back to 100% I was walking around the day after and cycling 2 wks after. Went back to work on week 4. MCL is a whole other ball game depending on how bad you tore it. In my soccer days it was not uncommon for someone with a MCL to loose a few gears and never get them back. It all depends on what your sports of passion are. There are alot of success stories out there at the highest levels of sport. Hope all goes well with surgery/rehab.

I had about half mine trimmed in 96 and even to this day it aches .
Not so much as to take anything for it , but just a dull ache.
Damn sure can't go on a long hike.

I have had mine done twice,first time the repaired it and i re-tore it some they cut it out the second time.This was 3 years ago and shit still aches with the weather and what not.Recovery i was back on the football field and played in a game 2 weeks later(against dr orders but it was the championship and playing pro football you dont get many chances for that opertunity).Your MCL though you looking at months of theropy.

Thanks bros.....I know I'm going to sound like a pussy but this its somewhat upsetting I've been working so hard and now it was kind of for nothing for now.....well I need to quit feeling sorry for myself this just sucks....

I know what you mean,I just recently got my bench to an all time high,was cutting weight & in the best shape i ever been in then had to have a screw put in my shoulder for bicep tendon repair so after everything i did last year im just now getting back in the gym after almost 4 months off now.It sucks......
