Starting Weight was at 252 lbs on Jan 1, 2010

Competition weigh in - 201 lbs May 1, 2010

I missed light heavy, by 2.25 lbs :confused: But I busted my ass to get to 201 so I'm am still very happy.

I ended up taking 2nd in the mens Novice Heavy. I by far wasn't the leanest guy up there, and I new that I wasn't going to be coming in (I just had so much weight to lose). But I figured that I needed to get on stage for the experience...

The Judges said my posing and stage confidence is what got me second, and That if I came in a bit leaner I would have taken first w/o a doubt

My Post comp weight is now at 203 pounds, My plan is to hover around that weight in the off season and diet down to 180's for next years show.

Overall, It was a great experience , I learned so much about my body and dieting. That whole day seems so surreal, being up on stage and all the support of my friends and family. Can't wait to do it again.

I might higher someone from this board next time, this past time It was all my own planning.

Good job! 51 pounds is way too much weight too lose, I would suggest staying with in 20 pounds. Don't get fixed on certain numbers on the scale, you know where you are by how you look. Each time you do a show, you will learn a little more. 2nd place means that you have done a good job.

Well said Pesty. This is where a good coach comes into place. Plenty of them here on PM, the best guru are here. Alex A, Shelby, Mike, Mountaindog, Phil H., Dave19..too many guys here to not have help form them.
 
Bro, if your not burned out from dieting ... I would continue to diet, and get lean as possiable...Just for yourself...take pics, set up a photo shoot...something to push yourself a tad more...to get to the point of being super lean...:)
 
Take that condition you have in those stage pics and take it to the next level.. Chris said it right.. set a goal and strive to achieve it.. Document your progress and next show.. strive to conquer that condition.

Thanks for all the support guys. It was def a fun ride, and still is. Since the comp I took a few days off, then basically started my contest diet again, just added a few more carbs on the weekend. I shot right back up to 212 after the comp, but since have manged to continue to diet down to 200 while keeping a lot of my lbm. My plan is to keep this going for the rest of the year and to continually get leaner. This should set me up for an awesome 2011 contest wise, and not such an extreme transformation.

I've been a member here for a few years now, but hardly ever post. You guys do rock, and this board is really what inspired me to step on stage. (that and being a fat kid growing up:D)
 
Congrats on taking your transformation to the stage! That first show is always an experience you'll never forget. I'm glad you had such a great time with it. :)
