TRT Androgel?

Hello all, I just started my testosterone replacement therapy 2 days ago, I have below normal testosterone for my age (29). The doc decided this would be the best route to take.

I have a few questions for those of you on test for life. What should I expect overall? How much testicular shrinkage and how soon does it happen? What if I'm not done having kids, what are my options? I have 2 kids boy and girl and might want another one in a few years.

I am currently taking five grams of the androgel, with a possibility of increasing the dosage in a month, according to doc.

Is androgel my best option, compared to the shots, what are the pros and cons, doc recommended the gel.

I would also like to add that doc told me im secondary hypogandal, thas why my test is so low.

You won't absorb most of the gel, washes off, or you sweat it off. Just inject, its bulletproof. Keep some gel for international travel.

It's a pain in the ass IMO-every single night you have to rub it on 4 locations. Gets old after a few months....My doc was reluctant to give me the injectable-really was trying to sell that Androgel(probably a kickback thing).

Been there and done that. Thought the gel was worthless. Made the numbers look OK, but didn't give me anything like low dose injectable. Give it a whirl, and if you feel nothing physically, ask to take the next step.

Thanks for the replies guys, my dr. told me he's ok giving me the injectibles but he recomended that i try using the androgel first. Next appointment i'll tell him to switch me.

how about the testicular atrophy, and having kids while on it? anyone have any experience?

My HRT doc prescribed HCG, 35 units(the potency is eluiding me?), 3x/week for this purpose-no problems.
