I have a question and need help. I have low t and just went under complete shoulder replacement surgery. How long do I need to stay off of TRT before going back on?
From the test injections? If you’re super worried about it i’d say go subq daily w a small volume. That way on the off chance you do get an infection/abscess it‘ll be much easier/faster to treat.Just did not want to get an infection while I was healing.
as mentioned no need to stay off, I have been thru a couple of surgeries while being on trt, and if you do stay off you will probably feel worse.I have a question and need help. Have your workouts changed since your surgery and are you getting your trt from a dr or from here?I stayed on TRT for my shoulder replacement as i saw no reason to go off and neither did my Dr. Putting ones body in a less healthy state does not aid in recovery.
Going off TRT would be like telling a guy with normal levels he needs to suppress his levels while recovering. Makes no sense.
Uhh are you addicted to heroin or using needles you found on the ground?Just did not want to get an infection while I was healing.
Man I am 43 but injured my shoulder back when I was way younger. I probably should have had it fixed when I was in my teens but I did not fell like I needed to do anything for it as it was not impeding on my ability to move my arm and rotation of it. I know I will not be able to lift as heavy anymore because of this but at least I’ll still be able to workout and put muscle on.How old are you if i may ask? I have artritis in both schoulders so will also need schoulder replacement in maybe 5 to 10 years. Doctor said it would be very difficult to keep training like im used to since mobility in shoulders will be very bad. This worries me, just hope i can stretch it to around 10 years...
DR prescribe TRT for 25 years. I augment as i see fit. But then i call it a cycle. The big change is the weights are not as high as they were 20-30+ years ago. But the same can be said about all the weights i push even with joints that are original. I quit using a straight bar for most things back in the 90's. Only went up to 100# DB's post surgery for chest. That was less then a year after replacement. But 3 months after my replacement i had some spine surgery, fusion, rods put in so that added time to the recovery. Was back in the gym and work a week after that one.Have your workouts changed since your surgery and are you getting your trt from a dr or from here?

No. The socket was just reamed and then micro fractured. To allow stem cells to leak out. Which seems to cause a fibrous coating to cover the surface. A full replacement would have meant basically giving up lifting according to the Dr.'s. As the plastic piece that is used for the socket would wear out to quickly from any real use of the shoulder. That is why i went with the "ream and run" surgery, as there was no restrictions on physical activities after the procedure. This was with a full replacement? IE socket and humeral head?
