Two Shows and shes Pro ????

Well folks.... I would love to hear some feedback on this.

Perhaps the quickest to ever to pro in the History of the IFBB...

Stacy Oster turned pro after competing in her first show just 3 weeks prior on May 9th at the NPC Contra Costa..

This past weekend took 1 of the 2 IFBB pro cards in Bikini... Shes now a pro.. probably didnt even get her NPC card yet in the mail yet..

No hate.. but can you relate? What are your thoughts? Bikini pros.....

Well at least she looks like she works out...and she is a decent looking girl...Did she compete in figure last year ??? Dont know her history...

Overall I expected this to happen...Plus I expect these girls to get into the mags alot and take some of the figure girls exposer away from them...Its a mess, and Im not sure how to take it

Alex, yeah.....the whole thing bugs me.

It's about money. A lot of girls can walk on the treadmill some, get big pair of boobs and throw some color on and be competative. The NPC can fill seats and make money. Some figure competitors look like that and it ticks me off. It a gal can do some crunches or pilates and walk on the treadmill and place at figure...screw figure. For that reason I am okay with this new division....okay..but....

I get a little green around the gills, but at least [hopefully] this will eliminate the confusion about figure competitions. I thought figure competitions were supposed to be for girls who didn't want to go the full on hardcore, get big and freaky like a bodybuilder....but wanted to look like girls who lifted weights while retaining the feminine look that is often ruined with heavy drug use.

I was glad when Meredith decided to do figure instead of bodybuilding for that reason. But sometimes they place girls I've seen that are way too soft and lack any muscle. I mean shouldn't the girl have "some" development?! Sheez...IF NOT what's the difference between that an the Miss USA beauty pageant? This is supposed to be the NPC! National "PHYSIQUE".... So lets display a PHYSIQUE.

The judging varys from class to class in figure. They will reward a girl with obvious fat on her hamstrings and ass, who displays very little muscular development and place that girl high.

The next class they'll go with a girl who is lean and obviously works hard in the gym. How in the hell do these girls know what to do. The last time we actually added fat in on Meredith's diet to soften her up....so she'd look like the girls who are too lazy to diet hard. lol

Anyway.....Bikini competitions might be a good thing in that regard, Alex. That's the only thing I can see that's positive about it.

Sort of takes the "glory" away from busting ass to become a "PRO".

I see pretty girls every day though....so what's that have to do with the NPC?

She got a pretty face yes, but her body? Way too soft and not pleasing to look at. I say most of our pm girls have her beat by a mile and they have pretty faces too (and no card).

Another reason I don't follow the competitive part of this culture anymore, she's soft and looks like she hasent worked out In a while, I have seen alot better physiques that havent even stepped on the stage, usually the competitors midsection's are always spot on but this isnt the case here.

I think her shape is way off. PRO??? Well at least someone else thought so. Shit, we have much better looking and better shaped women here on this board that would smoke this one on stage. IMHO is this a pro?? NOPE!

I think I can remember reading he did 3 in Canada then weider was impressed and told him to come do the NA's as he'd probably cruise it. then low and behold he went through and won.

I hold that in higher regard than the bikini division so this is still the benchmark

It was a business move to create additional revenue plain and simple and from that perspective I can understand. But now almost any female has a division they can jump on stage with that have not put their time in the gym for, you can see that from some of the contest pics that have happened.

Like some have said, at least she looks like she has worked out and if they keep that criteria and the bikini division is not allowed to cross over into figure, bb or fitness once they have their card, so be it.

Do I like seeing girls in bikinis, hell yea, do I think it has a place on the NPC stage, time will tell.

You know, she is beautiful but this whole thing does bug me. It seems as if you take what you are given(genetic wise) do a little cardio, and get onstage.

Think of the levels we have to go to in bb'ing and i know figure girls play hell too. I guess i just don't get the premise of the division.

Just a way of generating more revenue, fine, but how much longer is it going to drag some of these events out.

Yeah well I have been thinking the same thing. Even the firgure girl that won the overall hasn't competed more than 1 year. Quote from her, " I've training hardcore since last October" Damn!!! I guess she earned it, that's 7 months of training.

We know who she is and she hasnt competed before.. First show was the Contra Costa..

Bikini will grow big i believe.. At this past weekends Cal... there were about 32 girls they cant cross over so..that is 32 additional competitors to the show.

Just think of it as totally separate from bodybuilding, fitness, and figure... because it is.

If she had gone pro in a federation called the WBF, would we care? I highly doubt it.

ive never understood womens figure, fitness, and I guess the bikini comps. How the hell do they judge those? It always seems like the ones I would pick get placed not so great..seems like its even more politics or whatever than the mens bodybuilding

Good for her.

My wife is one who doesn't like the look of fitness or a female bber. She does like this look. It will probably draw a different crowd, which is probably why they went the bikini route. Makes sense in the business word.
