Yes the PayperView thats In Ca. on the 15Th I beleive sold out in 2 days or so Itll be Tito Ortiz Vs Forrest Griffin In the Main event.

This other one is On the 6th Just on spikeTv. Good Fights set-up though.
Stephon Bonnar and Keith Jardine! Thatll be a good one.
A few others that look One sided but also a few that Should be Battles.

I'm looking forward to the spike fights!! I also like it when they replay the old ones. I'm moving into a cheaper place in a few months and hope to get some of the PPVs. I usually end up get a dvd, but nothing beats seeing it LIVE.....

There is NOTHING like Pride. Those are BY FAR the best fighters in the world.

Whats gonna be interesting is the new IFL. They have some guys that worked the UFC front office to help run it and its team vs team. They are trying to make it mainstream like most Pro sports with teams, ie: baseball, football etc, and fights I believe start next month on Fox (no cable or PPV, plain ol TV). The fighters they have contracted are "decent" fighters but the coaches are the best in the world. Bas Rutten, Renzo Gracie, Maurice Smith and Pat Millitech. UFC is in big competion with these guys now, so should make for better cards.

But still - theres nothing like Pride.

I recognize all of those names from the Ufc...Ill deffinatley keep an eye out for that one.
When do you guys see Pride Fights? When is the next one?
I never realy see it advertised I guess but Have seen plebty of clips here and there but never actually rented there PPV or seen much more then a few 2-3 min clips.

Oh man, the IFL is stirring some shit up quick. Dana White and Zuffa tried to put a lawsuit against the IFL because they were saying the guys who went over there had stolen some tricks of the trade and he tried to put a stop to it. He also threatend anyone who went over to the IFL that they would be banned from the UFC as you can see Pat is the only one still with ties to the UFC because of his fight camp. He (Pat) released a statement about how fucked up Dana White is and the Shamrock and Couture were supposed to be coaches as well but were threatend by Dana White. Its a cool concept the IFL and hopefully these big name coaches will get it going, but it has some downfalls as well.

Raj - check out Pride when you can. They still have Tourneys (Grand Prix) like back in the day. Arlovski wouldn't even be a top 3 maybe 4-5 HW in Pride. Lidell went over there a few years ago and got destroyed by Quinton Rampage Jackson (who is about to sign with the UFC). Check out guys like - Fedor, CroCop, Mark Hunt, Noguera, Wanderliei, Gomi, Dan Henderson, Arona, Shogun, etc. I'd put my money and any of these guys agains the UFC.

Fox Sports runs Pride fights once a month. They just ran one last week. Here is the Philly area, Fox Sports is aired on Comcast Sports Network.

Royce and Hughes are fighting in May. He's under contract with K-1 but this is just a one fight deal.

BBA, yeah the UFC fighters don't make shit compared to Pride. Coutre and Lidell made 225g's loser and 250,000 to the winner I believe. No more than 275. Wanderliei, Fedor, Nog, etc make anywhere from 600 - 1mil per fight over there. Rich Franklin has I believe a 4-6 fight contract made I think 35g's for his last fight with Louiseou ....thats not counting his endorsements of course

Last I check it hadn't been confrimed about Rampage - but a very knowledable guy and "in the know" on MMAweekly reported. Kinda like if Phil or DC said something on this site.

Hughes is definetly one of the best fighters P4P, but there are a few other guys who would challenge him for that spot (Fedor)....and Royce is BY FAR not the greatetest of all time - ask Sakuraba who destroyed Royce.

Either way - Hughes is too strong, fast and young for him. Royce hasn't dominated anyone in recent years as MMA has evolved past the Gracies. He's a tremendous warrior - but past his prime and the game is completely different than when he was fighting one dimensional fighters in the early days. Also for this fight the Vegas commission doesn't allow him to fight with a Gi on. He's got alot against him in this fight.
