US FDA "Detained" my Syntherol

As is my yearly tradition, I jumped on the Syntherol Christmas Special. When it didn't arrive in four weeks I let my friends as Synthetek know and they resent it, arriving in four days. The following day I got a letter from the FDA saying, amoung other things, "The article appears to be a new product without an approved new drug application". I let Synthetek know that the letter says it would be returned to sender if I took no action so at least they would not take the loss. Synthetek is awsome telling me to contact the FDA demanding they send it along and to keep it at no charge. I have ordered this product dozens of times with no problems. They provide an adress a telephone number a contact person and in invitation to meet in person. Since I don't have time for the 3000 mile trip was just wondering if and how anyone may have handeled this in the past?

technically they have no right detaining your order. theres nothing illegal or banned.

contact customs. threaten to sue them for detaining a product you are in need of. Its %100 legal and they better start getting their shit right or they are gonna face a lot of lawsuits.

Dam Straight

I know everything in the product is legal, was wondering if anyone else has ever had this happen and what the best way to handle the FDA is. I am inclined to call first.

A couple of people had this happen and they called and abused customs and they got their packages straight away.
They have no right to hold the packages. Probably some moron at customs thinks you are trying to smuggle drugs in the syntherol vials.

Abuse them and tell them that it's not a drug but a massage oil. It's sterile so you don't get infections if you rub it on a open cut that you get from shaving.
And if they say that they saw on the internet that some inject it, say that some people sniff glue too. Doesn't meant that you will do somehting so stupid.

I am going to give them hell but the interesting thing is this has nothing to do with US Customs. All the correspondence and contact info is to the FDA in LA!?

I've had my syntherol detained before although I never received a letter. It finally showed up a few weeks later. The package had been clearly opened and then taped back together.

Yours was probably handled that way because you ordered so many, and it made them suspicious. Seems like someone in customs is a little overzealous and turned it over to the FDA.

Some dickwat at customs forwarded the package to FDA who now has no idea what it is, so they called it 'a new drug'
