Well it doesn't have tar in it so no increased risk for lung cancer. It's healthier for sure but depending on which device you have and what wattage you vape it, it can be harder on the lungs (not in a cancerous way, just because you inhale more smoke than with cigarettes).
All that being said, it's obviously much less unhealthy so definitely make the switch.
I would advise you to buy a good, powerful device from the get go so none of the (too) basic devices since they don't produce as much smoke and once you're hooked on it, you will want some extra wattage/smoke.
I just bought a new one a week ago I can recommend you: a Vaporesso Revenger. It's powerful, yet simple to operate. The Vaporesso Switcher would also be a good one. (or any one from Vaporesso, it's one of the better brands)
Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but there's supposed to be an early morning spike in cortisol, which is good, and the glucose should follow. This wakes you up.
Here's my baby gonna step up to a bigger model this weekend. I'm sucking in about 10ml per day currently 3mg nic per cc.
It's definitely effected my lung function but not as much as cigarettes.

I see a Vaporesso fan and I can't help but reply. I got an Armour Pro Starter Kit (by Vaporesso) and I'm really satisfied with it. I'm actually thinking of upgrading to a more advanced gear from them too, but torn if I should shell out more dollars to buy latest model or settle for last year's model. (Seems crazy, but I actually took the advice from this article that actually suggests getting models that are one year older so you can save money.) But one thing's for sure, I'm gonna buy it online coz the deals are better.
Where do you buy your gears tho?
I buy everything in a local vaporshop about 5 mins away from me. I'd better buy online since that's way cheaper but oh well
