Faulty cooking bad, yes. However, raw bad too (salad being the exception!).

Cooking breaks down the molecular structure slightly, making the vegetable more bioavailable....Hence some cooking is beneficial. They reckon actually that the discovery of fire and the subsequent cooking of food helped the human species succeed in the first place.....
