Visa / Mexico

I've seen a few of you from PM who make trips to Mexico.. I have lived here for 15 yrs and travel to San diego every Wed to get groceries. When the new law came out requiring you to have a passport to pass back onto the U.S, I obtained one.. Well about 3 weeks ago I accidentally left my wallet at home along with my passport and didn't any form of ID or a picture of myself.. After about 10 minutes they went ahead and let me pass into the U.S. My question is how many of you have traveled into Mexico lately without a passport and did you have any problems getting back into the U.S.

Reason I'm asking is my brother would like to visit me on my birthday and doesn't have a passport and my elderly mother is throwing fits telling him if he goes, the U.S is going to throw him in jail for entering Mexico without a passport as she saw this on TV. God I know I'm old but I hate people older then me and the way they think cause they watch to much fucking TV.

Kinda OT but why do you travel back into the US to get groceries? I have heard that Mexico has quality food for cheap, I have no personal experience with this just what I have heard. This person was also quite south of you being by Mexico City but I would think you would want to live in an area that has those kinds of amenities.

I love Baja, the hookers in TJ. The reason for my travels to San Diego is I have 8 lg dogs which eat 3 44lb sacks of dog food a week. Dog food at walmart is 3 times cheaper in the U.S as Mexico pays a 33% import charge for items entering into Mexico. Also I'm a beef and boneless chicken breast eater which i only buy on sale. They have no clue down here how to age beef. Filet is about the only thing that is tender enough to eat. I bought some NY steaks about months ago and ended up feeding them to the dogs as I couldn't chew the shit. Be surprised that my food bill is cheaper shopping in the U.S then here as I only buy when thing are on sale. Like top sirloin for $1.99 a lb. Top down here is about 3.48 a lb and never on sale.

Let you in on something really stupid..You can buy tequila made in Mexico cheaper in the states then you can in Mexico..The reason you ask, Mexico exports it to the U.S and then pays to import it back to Mexico to sell. Not that's stupid

I live about 45 miles south of Tijuana.. I make a trip there every week to every other week and spend the night..My wife seems not to mine and this yr even went as far to do 4 threesome for me.. I find the girl and she says lets take her home.. God this 67 yr old just loves those mexican gals in their early 20's and what a wife i have. I have never had what to speak of problems (unless my fault from drinking to much tequila) or seen any of the cartel violence.. I have no problem walking the streets by myself at 2-5 am in the morning or any other time. Can't live here in Mexico if your going to be afraid of what might happened. I just go about my business. Take some Viagra find me 2-6 girls in a 12 hr period (some being threesomes), do them and go back home drunk on my ass. Sure not good for training or nutritional planning but what the hell, I'll be 68 in about 20 days.

I went down to Mexico about 3 months ago and came back with just my CA Driver's License. The border patrol said that he was flagging my ID in the computer so if I came back down without my passport they would know I knew about the new law (I think he was trying to scare me or something).

They may let one back across to the U.S., but by law, you are required to have your Passport.

They require a Passport at the Canada/Maine Border. If you do not have it they still let you pass, minus the locked up in jail part.
