Volume or weight for better biceps?

I typically train in a modified HIT style with medium volume (8-10 sets incl. warm ups) and heavy weight (6-8 rep range) to failure. This seems to work well for most of my body, except biceps. They seem to tire early and I rarely see any growth, with very little DOMS. I was thinking of dropping the weight and kicking up the volume of sets and reps - has this worked for anyone?

yes it works

yes

i got a good amount of improvement with ridiculously light weight and squeezing the contraction at the top of the exercise...mostly cable preacher curls. 7 sets of 12 one minute apart using only 40 lbs. can barely get out 12 on the last 2 sets.

for years my bicep did't get past 16" and I was using heavy weight in the 6-8 range so when I changed to lighter in the 12 rep range with controled movements I started seeing growth up 2" just from changing that, I think biceps respond well to lighter weight in my opinon.
