does anyone here have their signigicant other rip the hell outta your skin for you? i went about a year ago and paid 100$ to get my back waxes. lets just say that can get really pricey every 10 days.

and im so tired of shaving, the constant irritation is just becoming too much of a pain in the ass, i need a different solution. i shave an a day later i have hairs that are like needles stick out of my chest.

im wondering if anyone uses home kits to do waxing, if so whats the prices, where can i purchase them from, etc?

thanks for any replies.

my ex girl

she used to wax herself, and she did me a few times as well. im pretty sure she got it at bed bath and beyond or something...it should be pretty easy to find i would think...she said it was tons cheaper than getting it done too. the thing she told me about waxing though is that the hairs need to be fairly long...almost thier naturl length...before you do it again. she did my stomach and i had only let it grow out for like 2 weeks, it hurt like crazy and didnt do much because the hair was so short still.

Wow, $100 is a lot. I go once a month to get my back waxed and I pay $40. I have been doing to the same woman for a number of years though. It takes her about 20-30 minutes. She told me the first time I had it done to let it grow out some so she can get a good "pull". The good thing about waxing is that it gets MUCH less painful and the hair grows back much thinner and finer over time as you keep doing it. The first few times it hurt like hell though. As many women there are that wax their own legs, I would think those kits would be pretty easy to find.

i've heard a lot of good things about sugaring as an alternative but i haven't tried it out yet .. waxing hurt SO much and gave me so much irritation i refuse to ever do it again .. what good is it having no hair if the area is covered in irritation pimples/ect.

so anyone ever try sugaring?

The first times I would break out and have irritation too. Ripping the hairs out at the roots is pretty harsh. But, this improves also after a few times and staying with it. I used to look like a werewolf on my back, but now, even if I don't wax, it grows back much thinner and finer than the old days. Plus I don't break out or have any irritation now. I think the sugaring works on the same principle, you are just using a sugar paste instead of wax.

I think waxing hurts after the hair thins just the same. I pay $50+tip.
So $51! (just kidding) No wonder it hurts! Bitch hates me!
I broke out bad this time,
If my wife still lived with me-the best thing, totally painless, is Epilstop.
Put the cream on, wait about 10min, take a warm damn cloth, just gently rub it off.

Hah! I just had my wife shave my back on thusday!!! Its a pain in the ass even though it dont hurt..
I have had intent to buy some stuff from "Lex" they make alot of skin products and one of them is a hair removal system.."They" say it works great even on coarse hair..which I happen to have all over my body!!! anyone ttry that stuff??

You can buy an at home waxing setup for under $60-$70. IT's the same as what they'd have in a salon or spa. Everyone stop being pussies, it doesn't hurt that bad. I've slept through it before and I get everything waxed all at once, "except nuts" that would hurt.
$100 just for your back is outrageous, I would find a different place.

Try "NAIR" (white bottle with aloe and lanolin 4 minute formula). 4 minutes and its gone, but be aware ONLY LEAVE IT ON FOR 4 MINUTES or you will rash out on your back. Lasts about a week on me and makes my skin extremely smooth. Tell your girl to use latex gloves when she applies it because it will make the skin on her hand feel strange. Just get in the shower after the 4 minutes are up and use a back brush at first. Then I use a small towel to brush off the rest. I do my whole body except for my chest and under arms. Keep in mind though, if you do your legs, just do your legs, because by the time you get done applying it to the second leg 2 minutes has already gone by. luckily legs dont seem to be as sensitive as back to irritation. Oh, and by the way, dont get any on your nutz, as this stuff will burn for a day. If you get it on while doing your legs, wipe it off with a wet rag... just lookin out for ya bro.

Roomate tried NAIR and ended up with 2nd degree burns on his back as he had a bad reaction to it.
I used to work with a dumbass that put that shit on his head. That was funny looking. Burned the scalp to the point of pussing and oozing all over the place.

Like I said, do not leave it on to long. It may also have an effect on sensitive skin. My skin has gotten used to it now so i have no adverse effects. As a side note, waxing also has the ability to make someone break out & rash up also.

True it can, but it goes away rather quickly. Within a day or so and it generally doesn't happen or happen as bad on the following treatments.

Same with NAIR once you get used to it and are able to get it off fast enough. The only thing is it costs $4 not $40. What I would suggest as they suggest on the bottle is to apply it to a small area to make sure you are not alergic to it. Also, what I have noticed, is that the other versions of NAIR not the aloe and lanolin, seem to effect me adversly. Maybe the user needs to try different version until they find the one they can use efficiently.

Man the shaving thing just comes back too quick and always thicker and denser. Waxing works the opposite.
Armegeddon is right you can buy the applicators, strips, wax and heater for $50-60. IF you have someone who can do it.
Im going to look into laser, I just broke out so bad this time. Yuck! Its just as bad as the hair.

man im glad im not the only hairy son of a bitch who has to deal with this crap. i swear i see guys in the gym always smooth and not broken out, i shave friday night and saturday morning im prickly again, and like you guys say, it just gets thicker and thicker. i notice i break out worse the more i shave. waxing however did not make me break out at all.

i might try one of those places in the mall and if i cant find anything look around for a cheaper waxing lady. if i could find it for 40-50$ i would do that, but 100$ is killing me.

thanks for all the replys,

When looking into Laser hair removal be sure that the tech is state licensed. Most Laser hair removal techs are NOT licensed, and here in NY they don't have to be as long as the spa they work for has a license.

Make a long story short, my girl's friend was injured severely and permanently by a Laser tech who did not know what she was doing. She now has permanent scaring around her bikini area. If you feel any pain at all MAKE THEM STOP. The procedure should be 100% painless.

That's a good point. I know NY and PA do not have to have licenses. Here in NJ they have to be a doctor so that is good. I tried the laser route and was disatisfied after 6 treatments on a state of the art machine, brand new in 2005. It did take longer for it to come back, but it did ALL come back. Also, when they did it, they had to work around my tattos which basically made me have fluffy tribal art. If you have light hair forget it because it will not do anything for you. The laser is made to "burn" anything that is dark like brown to black hair. This being said it will also turn a tattoo into a blistering 3rd degree burn.

Come on guys suck it up and keep getting waxed. The more you do it the less you have to go if that makes sense. Or let me rephrase, the more treatments that you have over time reduces the amount of hair that comes back. I used to go every 4 wks for the waxing, after the first two visits I was up to 6wks between sessions. The lady that was doing it said that she has women that come in around 8-10 wks for waxing. Granted these are lady's who aren't enhanced so there hair doesn't grow as fast but every several weeks is better than every couple of days.
