Western Union banned me from using their service?!

sent my good buddy some funds today using Western Union.. nothing out of the ordinary, not a large amount.

20mins later I get a phone call from Western Union saying "Western Union has made a business decision to disallow you from further use of their services"

I asked why but I got a generic reply "it could be for a number of reasons" and the lady said they would not tell me specifically why... and now I need to pick up a refund.

Anybody else have this happen?

Ive heard of them doing this before, and the person was 'flagged' for suspicious activity. I dont know what it is in your case, but it may have more do to with the reciever believe it or not.

same country, but different receiver name each time over the past year or so. roughly the same amount within $200 or so.

after googling it, I see this happens often with online gambling/poker players.

safe to assume I don't gamble... online or elsewhere. lol
