I love trying new exercises in my arsenal.. Some have become permanent additions to my routines.. I say you gotta find the exercises that work the best for you... I have recently been studying DC training and picked up two great unique lifts!!

But i would have to give my favorite to a Charles Glass modification... It is a modified seated row for back.. You take a wooden block or a plyo box and place it on top of the bench on the seated row... Position box so that when seated on box you can barely reach the v-bar, straight bar, etc., that you have attached to the machine.. Keeping your back straight pull bar from angle into your stomach and squeeze.. Good stretch at full extension of rep..
 
Smith machine floor press!

Lay on the floor under a smith machine's bar, and its basically a bench press without a bench. Push the bar up to near full extension but to where the tension is still on your chest SO DO NOT LOCK OUT ELBOWS! Come down so your elbows JUST touch the floor, do not rest, and push back up, hold the contraction for a second, back down. Repeat 4-6 reps only! Big power exercise, for thickness.

Nice.. I've seen this one as a DC training technique.. I always saw powerlifters doing this exercise and thought it was to help lock out the weight.. Never really saw it in a bodybuilder arsenal.. I will have to try it out!!

i really like it, it replaces the bench press in my routine, because of my shoulder problems.

I have another one.
Standing Calf Raise machine shrugs.

Stand in the calf raise machine, with shoulders under pads, as usual, but have both your feet planted on the stand, so you are not stressing your calves. Then just shrug. Its a great variation of the shrug, and it works rather well. ;)

Nice... Will have to try... I like to stand on the Hammer Strength Shoulder Press Machine and position seat so that i have to slightly bend down to grab handles.. I then do shrugs like that... I like the feel of the movement...
 
"hog fucker deadlifts"

You do a deadlift but with a more powerful motion in the hips. you thrust your hips forward hard like your trying to jam it in a fat chick!!! The ladies will be amazed at your power in bed next time!!!


(Beginners, this is a joke, please do not do this. In the gym I mean)
 
reverse grip smith machine bench press. i think its pretty self explanatory. i used to do it alot. works well.

Leg Press Machine Shoulder Press:

We have several of those gay plate loaded machines where you can add weight to the beginning, middle, or end range of motion... I forget the brand name.. But they make a leg press machine where you sit really low to the ground and get more of a hamstring feel rather than quad for leg presses..

Well i use this machine to do shoulder presses.. I sit facing the leg platform and grab the end of the leg platform and do plate loaded shoulder presses.. I get a great feel in my front delts..
 
1 arm dumbell skull crushers. do these HEAVY i feel like i get a better stretch in my tri's and you can really go to failure without that pesky bar falling on your face.
 
I have ONE MORE haha.

Ski jump calf raises.

Get a block of wood, or a plyo box, and place it far enough away from a wall so that when you stretch your arms towards the wall, you are leaning and your calves are getting a stretch. Kinda hard to explain, you will get a feel for them if you try them. Anyway. Stand on the edge farthest away from the wall of the block, or plyo box, and stretch your arms out and lean against the wall, holding your self up with your arms (again, kinda hard to explain, youll get a feel for it) Put a weight belt on with a plate or two attached to it, and while leaning against the wall, with your calves at that deep stretch, do calf raises. :D

snatches, overhead squats, zottman curls, single leg squat (ass to grass), snatch grip deadlift

Not sure.. But i sure like it... Looks like you and me are the only part of this thread....

haha. Even so, it was a great idea. I have alot of unique lifts. I just cant remember them all right now haha. :)
