Anyone else notice how Women's pets (dogs or cats) seem to have the most behavioral problems?
I have dated atleast 6 women in the last 5 years who had problem pets, largely from lack of training or consistent discipline.
Examples are:
Dogs and Cats who bite people (and their owners) with regularity..... "Aww thats just butternuts showing that he likes you!"
Dogs and Cats who urinate and defacate in their owners homes several times daily "Awww Mr. Stinkers! You must not be feeling well, why not use your pee-pee-pad??"
Cats who run their owner's entire lives (I thought a cat was an independent animal?)............ "Wait, between dinner and the movie I have to run home, feed Mr. Biggelsworth, give him a rub down, wait for him to use the litter pan, and then place him on the bed, because he's too lazy to jump up himself!"
Animals who don't listen, don't come, don't sit, steal food from their owners aggressively, harass guests, etc
The common trait I see is that all of these pets are owned by women, and all of them baby their animal and seem unable to impose discipline.
Keep in mind, I love animals. I have rescued several Pit Bulls (a supposed aggressive breed) and spent love, time, and money on them to make sure they're healthy and well adjusted.
None of them bite people (can you imagine the headlines?).
All of them are house broken.
None of them are food aggressive.
All of them are very friendly to guests, provided that the guest is in my presence.
I guess women have difficulty getting their pets to see them as the Alpha?
